The plot was meant for the Freedom 250 UFC White House event — which went on AS PLANNED because the plot was foiled.
"The first count is a conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists by way of money, firearms, ammunition, body armor, explosives, drones, medical and communications equipment, as well as personnel with the knowledge and intent that those resources were to be used in preparation for and to carry out the m*rder of federal officers and employees in the course of an attack on a federal facility and the use of a weapon of mass destruction."
"The second count is a conspiracy to commit m*rder on federal government territory and to m*rder a federal government official, including the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States and members of Congress."

This POS was convicted of killing 13 people and injuring 32 others in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting on November 5, 2009.
16+ years later this POS is STILL waiting to be executed.
Numerous times people have been arrested before carrying out their crimes. I think the reason is, at some level and for whatever reason, they want to get caught. Or they don’t want to risk going through with their plans. Possibly, they’re just incompetent, or getting the fame from and accolades from the notoriety is the actual goal. But it seems if someone really wanted to pull off a real crime they’d do it alone, use no electronic device and no credit cards. They’d do whatever research using a different public library each time. This would be the Ted Kazinsky approach. He was astonishingly successful. (Recall he sent about a bomb a year for quite a long time.) The thing that caught him was he wanted to “dialog” which we know from “The Incredibles” is how super villains screw up. But if someone wanted, for example, to kill the president then the true lone wolf would be the hardest to stop. But so far it appears that everyone planning such actions are thinking very “cinematically.” Probably they imagine Denzel Washington or Robert Downey Jr. playing their part.
All they need is a liberal judge and this will all change to a lawsuit against Trump for interfering with their plans.
Many expected this Summer and the coming Fall to be a bad series of months. Here we are ...

In this case one of them was outed by the guy’s mother who had become alarmed by her son’s behavior.
He in turn spilled the beans on the others.
that’s a wonderful mothr and I thank her.
and she probably saved her son’s life by ratting him out.
