The AR-15 — the deadliest abomination known to man. A gun so terrible it’s killed more people than net neutrality and Trump’s tax cuts combined. And to demonstrate how awful this weapon is, I did something foolish: I tried firing one. And the experience was so horrible I have not stopped crying and soiling myself since.
Yes, even as I type this, tears fill my eyes at the remembrance of pulling that trigger and the terrible things that followed. And my pants... my pants are so soaked.
How to describe the experience of firing that monstrosity? When I pulled the trigger, it was like an explosion went off INSIDE THE GUN. There was fire and everything! And then the gun ATTACKED ME! It lurched back at me, trying to strike me with that flat part on the back of it. You heard me right: The gun tried to BLUDGEON ME TO DEATH!
I reacted immediately and dropped to the ground, curled up into a ball, and started weeping — the same thing I’ve been trained to do if I ever hear the wrong pronouns used. And then I emptied my bladder and have not been able to stop since. The doctor is telling me that with all the urination and tears, I could dehydrate myself; I will be yet another casualty of the terrible AR-15.
Obviously, any gun so scary it would make me continuously wet myself must be banned immediately. I don’t think I will be able to stop crying and peeing my pants until I am assured that no one out there owns an AR-15. This has so traumatized me that I have now nearly forgotten my previous trauma caused by a butterfly landing on my face.

Very funny. I like the Bee.
I’d like to see someone like this fire a Mosin-Nagant. Or better yet a .55 Boys anti-tank rifle!
next time you can come try mine that is chambered to shoot 22LR, not very scary I promise
Strange way to hip fire an AR-15, but you do you. Don’t try that with anything with actual recoil though because your kids would be born concussed. ;-)
....wellllll.... next time, maybe this shooter should try a Desert Eagle in .50 Cal AE.....if that first round doesn’t fill yer pants, then nothing will.....
Having read Mr. McCallum’s piece, I guess I have mixed feelings here.
First off, I get the impression he is anti-gun, even if he portrays himself as undecided or unsure. So be it.
On the other hand, he elected to go shooting. That’s good! An indication of a potentially open mind.
Prior to about a week ago I’d mock him same as the Bee for being intimidated by an AR15’s recoil and muzzle blast.
So what happened a week ago? Well, I took a a teenage boy- usually a demographic that loves shooting ARs- shooting for the second time in his life and he was totally uncomfortable with the blast of my AR15. I should note that this was outdoors, as well (so less reflected blast than an indoors range). At first I thought he didn’t have his ear pro on correctly, but after discussion and some checking, that wasn’t the issue. He just wasn’t comfortable with the sensation of the muzzle blast. He was absolutely comfortable shooting rimfire rifles and handguns, but the .223 was too much.
I’m not sure mockery is the right approach. Having just experienced a pro-gun person who, in their inexperience, had trouble with an AR, I wonder if pieces such as the Bee’s might be a bit alienating to potential pro-2A folks if they have an adverse first experience with a firearm.
To be clear, my concern isn’t about Mr. McCallum- I suspect he’s much more anti-gun than he lets on, nor about the Bee per se- they’re playing to their audience, myself included (I found their article quite funny). I guess I just mean to warn people that there are some beginners who might not like the “power” of even a .223- don’t mock them, give them more time, and win them over to a pro-2A stance. And lots of .22 lr :D
Sounds like a great weight loss plan!
OK...this person has reached me.
I am now willing to get rid of my AR-15...for the right price. I’ll need the money to buy a new AR-10...which is obviously a smaller gun because “10” is less than “15”.
I hope this helps the author.
Whoa, a fully semiautomatic gun with a thing that goes up. Who wouldn’t be terrified?
Good choice. You'll not regret it.
Personally, I would love to fire one of those.
The Bee nails anti-gun bedwetters!
DANG!
I don’t want to own one, but I would like shoot it once or twice!
I don’t think I have a problem. I’ve fired an S&W .22 LR before, and the noise surprised me, because I have fired .22 bolt-action rifles at scout camp, and they just made a loud “snap!” sound, but this one was more like “pow!” But still about the same; not much recoil.
I suspect AR-15 is just a step up in recoil and noise. It shouldn’t be a problem for me.
Had a similar experience with my son. He would run the world out of .22LR before he wanted to quit. The .223 / 5.56 he didn’t enjoy, the first few times. Let him try when he wanted, but never pushed, and had him focus on safety and basics with the .22.
A little bit of growing, experience, and confidence later and he is very comfortable with the .223.
I agree with you - no need to rush folks folks, support, help them learn and grow, and they will find their comfort zone and expand as they see fit.
Take care.
A soy-boy incel with a man bun and bad acne who lives with his mother fired a big mean gun and now he will be an emotional cripple for the rest of his life.
I could so see this happening.
“N)ext time you can come try mine that is chambered to shoot 22LR, not very scary I promise”
You forgot to say, honest.
I guess a twelve gage semi auto is out of the question. Might loose the bowels not just the bladder.
