TRENTON The race for U.S. Senate in New Jersey is set. Democrat Robert Menendez and Republican Tom Kean Jr. won their parties' nominations in Tuesday's primary. Albio Sires is ahead in his bid to serve Menendez's remaining term in the House. Sires has a slight lead over Perth Amboy Mayor Joe Vas in the primary to run for the seat in November.
