I need to access answers to posts I made here several years ago. I have never deleted any comments to me or by me. I know the information is there. Do any of you know how I can search previous posts/comments to me? I do not have time to go through page after page after page of responses.

I rarely am successful with searches. I don't know where I fail. Today I searched for "jab" "prophecy" "is the jab" using title and keywords and nothing came up. Manually I looked and found what I was looking for:Is “the Jab” Prophetic? 11/7/2021, 10:27:19 PM · by Roman_War_Criminal. Where was I wrong?

Often Freepers try the search function and miss that the article has previously posted. Here is a trick to help find previously posted items: 1. Use only one word from the title, not the whole title. Sometimes titles are abbreviated or the different sources run the same article using slightly different titles. An exact title search will not, in such cases find the previously posted articles. So, pick only the most important word. 2. Under the search bar, there is a pull-down menu. Use this to select "title" for your search rather than the standard keyword search. The difference in...

I have searched unsuccessfully for an article I read here, maybe years ago, written by a retired police officer about how the democrats have failed African Americans in the city of Chicago. I wish I could remember more specifics from the article, but I can really only remember how much it resonated with me when I read it. It wasn't a long article. Any help locating it here is greatly appreciated.

I have developed a bookmarklet that can help you find if an article has already been posted on Free Republic. You put it in your favorites bar or save it as a bookmark. While reading a news article or web page, you click the "FR Search" link. A window opens with the FR search page and with a good guess what the article title is. Screen shots of me using "FR Search" to see if an article was posted.I have tested it with Chrome 32 and IE 11. Here are the results of testing 20 articles posted on FR. I...

When I click the Search link, I get a blkank page (Firefox) or an HTTP 403 Forbidden (IE). Has Search been disabled to cut down on server strain? (There may already be posts about this, but I can't find them because I can't search. ;D)

I need help with the FR search function. I am trying to locate articles regarding the Coast Guard for the first six months of 2004. When I go and enter "Coast Guard", select "match all words", and "order by post time", I get articles back to last September. When I do a "click to show more articles", I get the same articles again. When I click it once more, I get articles from December 2003 and earlier. Anyone got an idea how to get January to August 2004 articles?? Should I ping John Robinson?

Forgive me if this is viewed as a useless vanity posting. I don't believe it is. I have discovered a way to search Free Republic for any word that is 3 letters or less. As you may or may not know, the FR search function doesn't work on words that are less than 4 letters. The way to do this is simple. First go to Google. The word "site" followed by a colon enables you to restrict your search to a specific site. To do this, use the site:sampledomain.com syntax in the Google search box. For example, to find all...
