Vanity post- need help searching old posts

I need to access answers to posts I made here several years ago. I have never deleted any comments to me or by me. I know the information is there. Do any of you know how I can search previous posts/comments to me? I do not have time to go through page after page after page of responses.

Contact the FBI. I’m sure they have incredible archives of Free Republic posts.

Do you know around when the comments were, or what topic? If the topic is not too common, you may be able to pull it up via the article archive search.

If I really want to find something, I don’t use the FR search. I use Google, Bing, etc., and just include “freerepublic” in the parameters.

You might want to try to use www.duckduckgo.com to search your “handle” together with one or two unusual words you think might be in the particular post or comment in question.

Just click “pings”on the top of the main page.every post to you,and from you,are there. IIRC they’re listed chronologically so with time and effort you’ll find it.

i was able to go back to 2003 just by using your account in forum...

FR home page, Account, My Profile, In Forum, choose among the tabs Articles/Activity/Comments.

I frequently scroll back (‘Next Page’) months/years and always find what I want doing Ctrl-F (find) on each page.

This often returns a result of “No information available” even though the info does exists in the FR archive.

Yes, to cut down on irrelevant hits, but ***whhooosshh** are searches seeming to be flabby, imprecise, and including tons of totally false hits these days.
