Around 4.7 million Fisher-Price baby seats are being recalled again after they were linked to more than 100 infants’ deaths. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall involves all Fisher-Price Rock ‘n Play Sleepers. The inclined baby seats were initially recalled in 2019 after reports of more than 30 infants dying. Since the original recall, more than 70 additional deaths have been reported, including eight that reportedly happened after the recall announcement. Some concerned parents have contacted the Mattel toy company with allegations that one of its dolls utters words which promote Islam. The Little Mommy Cuddle 'n Coo dolls are manufactured by Fisher-Price, which is part of the Mattel toy empire. However, a number of parents contacted the company when they heard the doll say these words: "Islam is the light." Monica Bolling Williamson filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Fisher-Price, K-Mart, Lifestar Ambulance Services and Danny Williamson, Jr. alleging the defendants were responsible for the death of her son. Williamson claims that on Nov. 11, 2003, her son, Khalil Williamson, was sleeping in a bassinet of the Fisher-Price Nursery Center when it collapsed causing him to slide out and into the bottom of the play yard. The child's death was attributed to injuries sustained in the accident.
