When Germany invaded the Isle of Sark—the last foothold of feudalism in the western world—Dame Sibyl Hathaway protected her people with the unlikeliest of weapons: Feudal etiquette, old-world manners, and a dollop of classic snobbery. Dame Sibyl Hathaway had 275 Nazi prisoners on her hands and knew exactly what she wanted to do with them. It was May 1945. Five years earlier, Germany had invaded Hathaway’s home in the British Channel Islands, a tiny isle of 400 called Sark. Despite having no modern defense network or fancy gun emplacements—it didn’t even have electricity—Sark had proven itself to be uniquely prepared...

Twenty Democrat candidates in the "debates"... and every one of them brazenly and openly hostile to ALL I value! My Faith, my country, my family, my freedom, my labor, my property... A new “Leftism” has emerged this 21st Century… top-down (pretends to be "grassroots") and owned and controlled by Big Tech, media, Hollywood and hedge-fund billionaires, the richest among us! This new “Leftism” is totalitarian and allows no dissent... any questioning, much less opposition to be crushed in their vice of censorship, de-platforming and intimidation! Its cyber mob "Brownshirts" ready to attack, silence and “lynch” any who dare offend! The...

The UK's last remaining feudal village complete with 17 traditional red brick farms, 10 cottages, a pub and even the title of lord of the manor is up for sale for £7million. Laxton in Nottinghamshire is an 1,845-acre heritage estate which dates back to 1066 when the manor was granted to Geoffrey Alselin by William the Conqueror. In 1981 the Crown Estate purchased Laxton to try and maintain the open field strip farming system and the village is now the only place left in the country to farm in this way, reports the Guardian.

A classical liberal was characteristically guided by disinterested logic and reason. He was open to gradual changes in society that were frowned upon by traditionalists in lockstep adherence to custom and protocol. The eight-hour work day, civil rights, and food- and drug-safety laws all grew out of classically liberal views. Government could press for moderate changes in the way society worked, within a conservative framework of revering the past, in order to pave the way for equality of opportunity in a safe and sane environment.
  • California is becoming a feudal society

For most of its history, California has occupied a special place in the mind of most Americans. From the height of the Gold Rush through the 1980s, California's warm weather and booming economy drew enterprising, educated and talented immigrants from across the country. California was the melting pot of America's melting pot, leading all states in the number of residents who were born in other U.S. states. As I wrote in The Washington Examiner's "California in Crisis" series last week, that California is dead and gone. According to a 2012 University of Southern California study on state demographics, you have...
