Fayette County Commissioner Vincent Vicites was shot early Sunday in his residence in South Union, county District Attorney Richard Bower said. Bower said he was meeting with Uniontown state police Sunday afternoon, and that the shooting remained under investigation. He declined to give details, or say if anyone was facing charges in the incident. Bower said Vicites is in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. OAKLAND, TN (WMC-TV) - Authorities in Fayette County are investigating a shooting during a home invasion Monday morning near Oakland that left one person dead. Homeowner Willie Woods said he awoke in the middle of the night to his wife, daughter, and to grandchildren screaming that someone was on their porch.
