The last few months I've seen an increasing trend for FReepers to start going for each others jugular. Sometimes we forget (I've certainly done it myself) that in the grand scheme of things, we are on the same team. We may disagree on priorities or how far we are willing to go, but we have enough enemy in the left without creating more amongst ourselves. We can disagree but be civil to each other. We can debate nuance, but not believe that our personal positions are more important than the health of the whole. Let's argue vigorously but remind ourselves...

Who is Dave Bossie and Citizens United? I just gave them $50 that they claim they are going to use to create a movie to praise the efforts of George Bush and to counter Farenheit 911. They said they were trying to raise $500,000 in 30 days for this effort. I assume they got my number from the RNC. Anyone else receive this phone solicitation? It's so hard to keep track with GWB, and RNC calling every other day. I tried to access the Citizens United website but it appears down. I hope I did the right thing.

There was an article in my local newspaper this week that was about big campaign donors in my area. Looking on the list of big donors to 527 groups broken down by 'Dem leaning' and 'GOP leaning', I was shocked to find a relative who I thought to be a staunch Republican giving a significant amount of money to the Dems. We're closing on our new home today and now comes the decision about cable or dish. Charter is the cable company and after bad experiences with them in the past they are out.
