Free Republic

Is it just me, or are we seeing more and more independents and liberals infiltrating Free Republic? Last time I checked this was a conservative news forum. We can't do anything about it, but, it just seems weird to me, but it shouldn't. Independents are liberals who are too afraid to look like bad guys so they tell everybody that they are Independent.

I am shopping for a new truck. I own a 97 Ford 3/4 ton diesel. Its been a very good truck but I had to replace the transmission at 45,000 miles. I need at least a 3/4 ton. I am debating on going with the diesel again. If I get a regular truck I will probaly go with Chevrolet. If a diesel probaly Ford again. I was hoping for some input from freepers. I never do vanities so I hope everyone will excuse this one.

I have been unable to connect to Google.com from my broadband-powered computer. I am able to connect to various sites such as Free Republic, Amazon and Yahoo, but have been unable so far to reach Google. Are any others out there having difficulties with Google and how do you think it might affect Google's forthcoming IPO?

Just caught a part of Rush's show today, and apparently, the Senate just passed an amendment on the funding for the military to CENSOR Rush Limbaugh program, and allow only liberal programs on Armed Forces Network. This may be wrong, does anyone know more?

I've heard rumors over the past few months that the administration has already captured Osama Bin Laden and is keeping him on ice (perhaps literally) until just before the election. I do not believe this particular postulation. However, I cannot rule out the possibility that they may know where he is. In fact, with the technology that now exists, I don't know how they could not know where he is. When I find a link to a Washingon Post article on Google News, and click on it directly from the Google page, it goes directly to the article, without stopping at the Washington Post Registration page. But if I copy out that exact same link, and try to go to it by pasting it into the Address field of my browser, or try to use it in a FR posting, then the link sends me to the WP Registration Page. Sorry, but I need computer Windows XP help. The start menu got moved (thanks to the first day of school's out boredom, grrr) to the right side of the screen. I need to make a printout of the History Folder in Internet Explorer using Windows XP. This folder would contain all the sites visited by this computer since the last erasure. I have no trouble getting the file to show from the "Back" button on IE, but I would like to copy the entire folder. The History folder is in there somewhere, but I can't get into it.

I am using a Microsoft broadband MN520 wireless card, which communicates with a DLink DI 614+ wireless router. I run WEP encryption. Until a week ago, everything was fine. Now all of a sudden, the connection is lost literally every five minutes. In order to restore it, I must click on the icon of the connected computers (on system tray) and click on the "connect" button. It works for a few minutes, then drops again.
