I've been blocked from re-posting an article entitled "DIVORCE AS REVOLUTION" By Professor Stephen Baskerville, Ph.D. on the stated grounds that it was sourced from NewsWithViews.com
Is there a listing of "not welcome" sources available, hopefully citing reasons why, anywhere on this site?
As for the particular article in question, I can see no logical cause as to why the opinions expressed by its author wouldn't be welcome on FreeRepublic.
Blocking posts because of their source without either a pre-warning and (or) a subsequent expanation seems rather Stalinist to say the least.
Even if it's only a copyright issue, surely even common courtesy would dictate an explanation.

They must have requested that their articles be blocked from FR.
I think there's a list of blocked and excerpted sources in the AdminMod's profile.
If the lookup can't be done automatically, it would be nice if a link to such a list was available from the posting page. It might be that there is some reluctance to posting the list as it would expose the site to liability somehow (I'm not a lawyer).
See my link in reply #2 for the list of sites that must be either excerpted or not copied at all.
The software does automatically excerpt or refuse links to the sources, but relies on the user to accurately identify the source in order to work
So what was the problem with the Baskerville article? That source does not appear to be on the list, and other articles from that site are posted.
Looking back in your posting history, I don't see any pulled posts like what you describe.
Was your post pulled, or were you not allowed to complete the posting process?
I read the article and it is valuable. Too bad it isn't reproduced here. For anyone concerned with family rights, this article is a must-read. Thanks for at least pointing us to it, GMMAC.

I didn't see that source listed on that particular thread, so I don't know. I like Baskerville's articles, and hope you can post it. You could always email him, and invite him to post personally :-)
Geez, you Admins take all the fun out of carping about the high handedness of the Admins when you respond reasonably with a leavening of wit.
He hasn't given me enough information to answer his question, nor has he returned to respond.
