The British government has suspended all flights to the UK from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh after declaring it believes the Russian plane that crashed over Sinai may have been brought down by an explosive device. It is the first statement by any country that it believes a bomb or other device could have downed the flight, as Russian and Egyptian authorities investigate.

An Iranian 'diplomat' who was caught gathering intelligence on the Israeli embassy in Uruguay has fled that country. A SMALL home-made device exploded in a toilet in the restroom of a fast food outlet in western Sydney but no one was injured, police say. The device was detonated in the men's toilet cubicle at a McDonald's restaurant on High St in Penrith at around 9.10pm (AEDT) yesterday. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office and Hurlburt Office of Special Investigation discovered an explosive device in the back of a truck that had base access after receiving an anonymous tip Tuesday morning.
