SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (AP) - A man who committed suicide in June after becoming the focus of a rape investigation abducted and killed three Virginia girls in the 1990s, police said Tuesday. Forensic evidence - including hair, fibers and DNA - linked Richard Evonitz to the killings in 1996 and 1997, Spotsylvania County Sheriff Ron Knight said. He said Evonitz apparently acted alone. Evonitz lived in the area at the time Sofia Silva and sisters Kati and Kristin Lisk were abducted from outside their homes and killed.
