Despite criticism from Holocaust survivors, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., continues to use the term “concentration camps” to describe the federal detention centers temporarily housing the massive wave of migrants who cross the border illegally to apply for asylum. Ocasio-Cortez’s chief target of criticism has been President Trump, but as President Obama’s former ICE chief pointed out this week, the detention centers existed during the Obama administration.
