LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — A Pinellas Park woman was arrested on Saturday after Largo police officers said she was driving with nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system and carrying a bag of cocaine in her bra. Florida Keys deputies Wednesday morning shot and killed an off-duty federal law enforcement officer who they said pointed a semi-automatic rifle at them. The deputies shot Lane Morgan Caviness, 48, at a house near mile marker 95 in Key Largo around 10:42 a.m. Eastern time. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Adam Linhardt said deputies were at the house after receiving reports of an armed, intoxicated, suicidal man. Anne Heche was involved in a wild crash in L.A. Friday, and has been taken away by ambulance in a stretcher. The crash went down just after noon in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles. Witnesses tell TMZ, she was driving a blue Mini Cooper and crashed into the garage of an apartment complex. Residents of the apartment complex tried getting Anne out of the vehicle but she put the car in reverse and then sped off. A short time later, she crashed into a nearby home, igniting a fire. The fire was significant and engulfed the house.

A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper is being credited for saving lives by putting his own life on the line to stop a suspected drunk driver from entering an interstate going the wrong way. North Carolina State Highway Patrol said Trooper Cody Thao used his own patrol car as a barrier to stop the driver who was speeding up an exit ramp the wrong way. Mother Superior was called and my dad's friend back talked to Mother Superior, and she she slapped him so hard that he hit the blackboard and broke his arm. My dad was surprised that his friend didn't have another broken arm, when his parents found out.

A woman has been charged with murder and driving under the influence in a fatal interstate collision that killed two state troopers and a pedestrian in Pennsylvania.
