(WTNH, Dec. 1, 2005 Updated 2:00 PM ) _ A Waterbury alderman is charged in a hit-and-run that killed a 31-year-old woman. Michael D'Occhio is also accused of drunk driving. The accident happened on Wednesday night on Lakewood Road in Waterbury. A car, driven by 29-year-old Democratic alderman D’Occhio, was traveling east on Lakewood and struck Jennifer Catalani who was crossing the street. She suffered severe head trauma and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
