Without any evidence, or use of simple commonsense, Michelle Malkin claimed that Swift boat Vets said that Senator John Kerry gave himself a self-inflicted gun shot wound during his combat service in Viet-Nam. Hardball host, Chris Matthews, challenged Ms. Malkin on this claim, and end up making her look foolish when Matthews made clear he had never heard this from the group and pressed her for information of who told her this. I was hoping, with a name like Free Republic, that this would be a place for intelligent debate of political issues. Unfortunately, I miscalculated. After vaguely disagreeing with someone over an issue, I was repeatedly called a "troll" and promptly banned from posting. I tried again several hours later only to meet the same fate.
