Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said Thursday on CNN’s “NewsNight” that former President Donald Trump was the candidate of “the gazillionaire class.” Anchor Abby Phillip said, “Also, this week Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said, he’s going to pick a vice presidential running mate. He needs it because it’s an important part of the ballot access process. 2016 it’s require a running mate. So when you see a shortlist that includes people like Aaron Rodgers, he shared Sandy Hook conspiracy theories, Jesse Ventura, he’s a former wrestler, turned Minnesota governor. When you see that shortlist, what goes through your...

Former Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean said in an interview that aired Tuesday that President Biden could “beat the daylights” out of former President Trump in a pushup contest. In an interview on MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber,” Dean said Republican candidate Nikki Haley’s best hope at the GOP presidential nomination would be if Trump suffers a health problem and cannot continue in the race. “Haley’s hope has to be that she can present herself well as an alternative to Trump so that the convention can accept her should either Trump have a health problem, which he’s certainly...

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that former President Donald Trump will win the Republican presidential nomination and then lose the general election. Dean said, “I think there’s some other things going on, too. The things that are different are that Trump has a core group that’s not going to dessert him under any circumstances, definitely enough to get him the nomination. It’s not enough to win. Secondly there’s something else at play that wasn’t in play in either of those other two races, and that is Trump is under indictment. He has...

The past few months haven’t been easy sailing for the crew of the S.S. DeSantis, tossed around as they were by senior staff firings, a super PAC that seems to be actively hurting its candidate and the disappearance of nearly every major DeSantis megadonor. Just a few months ago, Republican media outlets feted Ron DeSantis as the future Trump-slayer. Now, the Florida governor’s team can barely keep the lights on. Through it all, DeSantis has remained committed to the idea that if he just focuses on the issues, the voters will eventually come to their senses. But the governor’s bad...

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean claimed Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that the Democrats will increase their majorities in both the U.S Senate and House in Tuesday’s midterm election. At a campaign rally, former President Barack Obama said, “If they just ignore or make light of that kind of violence, or if they encourage their supporters to stand outside voting places armed with guns and dressed in tactical gear if that is the environment we create, more people are going to get hurt.”

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that the Supreme Court striking down President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for large private companies means it was a threat to America because millions would die. Melber said, “Does this set back the safety of Americans today?”

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that Republicans who refuse to get vaccinated against COVID-19 were “disgusting.” Dean said when asked about reports that former President Donald Trump tested positive for COVID a few days before the first presidential debate in 2020, “Look, Trump was the most immoral and irresponsible president in the history of the country. He may or may not be the worst president, but he certainly is in contention. But he was certainly the one with the fewest morals and scruples and certainly the craziest in terms of psychiatric illness....

Well, you can’t say Howard Dean doesn’t have a good sense of humor. The former Vermont governor, whose 2004 presidential campaign was undone by an awkward, frenzied scream that was mocked for years afterward, re-enacted the climax of his infamous speech Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia as he endorsed Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

It just seems like it was...well, eight years ago, when Dr. Howard Dean got a little wound-up celebrating his 3rd place finish in the Iowa Caucus. Shortly thereafter, his "Dean Scream" was commemorated in a variety of musical mashups...but this one is my favorite. Short MP3 at link....fun stuff.

— Rick Perry gave an odd speech in New Hampshire. Then again, it was oddly Rick Perry. The video of his speech Friday to a conservative Christian group has gone viral — not as viral as Mark Block pitching his boss Herman Cain while smoking a cigarette, but then, Perry doesn’t smoke. The Perry video, however, has spawned similar amounts of interest. Perry begins the speech with a riff about how much he loves the motto of New Hampshire: “This is such a cool state, I mean, c’mon: Live Free or Die. You gotta love that, right?” Understand that this...

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs fired back at Howard Dean today for encouraging progressives to kill the health care reform bill. Dean thinks the bill, without a public option, is now too compromised to deserve further support. "I would ask Dr. Dean, how better do you address those who don't have insurance: passing a bill that will cover 30 million who don't currently have it or killing the bill?" "I don't think any rational person would say killing the bill makes a whole lot of sense at this point," Gibbs continued, notes the Huffington Post. Dean called the bill's...

SUMMARY: He says: "Who in their right mind, if they were African-American or Hispanic or Asian-American, if they were gay or lesbian, would join the Republican Party?" Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean came under attack for speaking out against conservative gay men and lesbians as well as Republicans of color. "They can't become more diverse," Dean said Tuesday at a speech at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. "Who in their right mind, if they were African-American or Hispanic or Asian-American, if they were gay or lesbian, would join the Republican Party?" The Log Cabin Republicans issued a statement Wednesday against...

Dean says attacks getting too personal Associated Press - March 28, 2008 4:43 AM ET WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic Party chief Howard Dean is expressing concern about the angry tone of his party's presidential campaign. Dean says Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and their supporters should beware of tearing each other down, demoralizing the base and damaging the party's chances of winning the White House in November.

I'm working on a video project and need to get a copy of the original Howard Dean scream video. I'd prefer the version that originally appeared on C-Span, but really any will do as long as it's of decent quality. I figured this would be a good place to check.

WASHINGTON – Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, never known to mince words, today told a San Antonio radio station the U.S. cannot win the war in Iraq. The "idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong," Dean predicted on WOIA.

EDINBURG, Texas — Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean argued on Friday that Republicans will try to make immigrants the "scapegoats" in the next election. At a rally, Dean garnered the loudest applause when he said Republicans would make immigration a pivotal issue during upcoming elections, as they did gay marriage and affirmative action in previous elections. Story Continues Below "Do you know who the scapegoats are going to be? Immigrants," he said. "In Colorado, the chairman of the Republican Party endorsed Tom Tancredo for re-election. That is morally reprehensible. The governor of California, a supposed moderate Republican, invited the Minutemen...

If we are at war like your socialist neocon idol suggests, then why is he going on vacation. Shouldn't he be manning the command post? AND closing down the borders. Geez, I bet enough illegals swam into Texas just this week to pick a year's supply of lettuce. Yeah, I know, go back to DU or whatever. I just figured that since this is BOT Central, I'd just like to see you Bots try and defend this. And those of you who are eligible for military service shouldn't be here anyway. You should be over in Iraq helping to fight...

It's been called the "scream heard 'round the world." Now it's echoing in Pittsburgh. Howard Dean was the Democratic front-runner in the 2004 presidential campaign until he responded to losing the Iowa caucus with a frenzied speech and wild whoop. Instead of rallying his troops, Dean's rant on national TV became one of the most laughed-at moments in political history and took the steam out of the former Vermont governor's bid for the White House. Republicans plan to poke more fun at the episode when Dean, now chairman of the Democratic National Committee, appears today at a Democratic Party event...

I also caught Ken Mehlman on Fox and Friends this morning commenting on Howard Dean's most recent outburst. Mehlman is so calm, collected, and above the fray it's almost ridiculous. Running the clip of Dean right before the mature, respectful response from Mehlman would be a great commercial for the RNC. Whether Democrats like it or not, Howard Dean is the DNC Chairman-- the face of the Democratic Party. Ken Mehlman, thank goodness, is quite a different face to put forward. I say run the comments of the two back-to-back in a TV spot. Nothing dirty; you wouldn't even have...
