Would you leave your 14-year old daughter alone with David Letterman? Sarah Palin’s not so sure. On this morning’s Today, after displaying the Palin statement shown in the screencap: “it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman,” Matt Lauer had this question for the Alaska guv. MATT LAUER: Are you suggesting that David Letterman can’t be trusted around a 14-year old girl? SARAH PALIN: Hey, take it however you want to take it. View video here.

Conversation was thick at the Cigar Inn today. Mostly over lunatic James W. von Brunnm who walked into Washington, D.C.’s Holocaust museum and murdered guard Stephen T. Johns, who had the bad luck to be on duty. von Brunn was shot, but unfortunately he is still alive. Word is that he is in critical condition, so there is still a chance for justice to take place. Irv Levine (we call him Lefty because he always grips his butts with his left thumb and pinkie) was holding forth, as usual, but with special passion today, as you might imagine. He raised...

It takes courage to attack teenage girls at baseball game with their mommy. Now Dave says he meant the jokes for the older daughter. Well, she wasn’t at the game. So why can’t Dave just throw his hands up and say he’s sorry, he screwed up and he didn’t realize the 14-year old was at the game? Because Dave isn’t man enough. He doesn’t want the heat to come off Palin’s family, because this is the only thing liberals can hurt Palin with. Fourteen out of fourteen ‘ethics’ investigations have failed to turn up anything on Palin. The best thing...

Smug, hip David Letterman offered a smirky non-apology about his ongoing class and sexist slurs against the Palins, his apparent social inferiors. "We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter, the 18-year-old girl, who is — her name is Bristol, that's right, and so, then, now they're upset with me . . .""These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl. I mean, look at...

Harold Ford, Jr. is the epitome of the equivocating politician who tries to play things both ways. But that strategy came a cropper for the MSNBC contributor on Morning Joe today. Ford claimed that though Letterman was wrong to make sexual jokes about Sarah Palin's teenage daughter, somehow the Palins are "unique," and thus presumably an understandable target. Mika Brzezinski came down on him. A clearly uncomfortable Ford was soon seeking cover. View video here.

"Any 'jokes' about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too." - Todd Palin "Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl are not only disgusting, but they remind us Hollywood has a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's...

"Last Show" host David Letterman responded to letters from Sarah and Todd Palin concerning dirty jokes he made about the Governor and her 14-year-old daughter. Letterman took the whole thing as a joke and made the Palins out to be buffoons.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has officially responded to David Letterman's disgusting joke about her daughter getting knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez at a recent Yankee game. For those that missed it, Letterman on Monday evening's "Late Show" said (video embedded right): One awkward moment though during the game, maybe you heard about it, maybe you saw it on one of the highlight reels. One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez. On Wednesday, Palin's office released the following statement:

Has Chris Hansen ever been a guest on Dave's show? Just askin. Fresh from calling Sarah Palin a slut and joking about her 14-year old daughter being raped and impregnated in front of a bemused stadium, David Letterman thought it would be hilarious to follow up by calling her a prostitute:

David Letterman continued his diatribe against the Palin family on last night's edition of the "Late Show." "The hardest part of her visit [to New York] was keeping Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter," Letterman said. Palin's daughter, Willow, is 14-years-old.

Governor Sarah Palin was the first guest on John Ziegler's new radio show on KGIL in Los Angeles. Palin endorsed Ziegler's film "Media Malpractice" and took on new attacks from Keith Olbermann and David Letterman. Palin called the comment "pretty pathetic."

While reading his top ten list Monday night, "Late Show" host David Letterman said Gov. Sarah Palin bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look. Palin was in New York over the weekend.

What's so unfunny? That's what some comics - citing the scarcity of satire directed at President Obama and his administration - want to know. Claiming that his peers are "panicky" about "being called a racist," stand-up legend Jackie Mason said too many once-fearless satirists are settling for "hero worship" of the new U.S. president. The Great Presidential Comedy Drought of 2009 can't be chalked off to a lack of satirical fodder, said comic Jeffrey Jena, founder of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy blog. ("Looking at politics and life from the right side," proclaims its motto.) "Letterman used to do a...

Whenever Bill O'Reilly appears on the David Letterman show you just know sparks are going to fly due to Letterman's inability to keep his anger managed and last night's show did not disappoint although it seems that Letterman now appreciates the ratings O'Reilly brings him. First Letterman established once again his liberal credentials in the opening monologue by slamming Republicans but, of course, not Democrats. First he did a bit about an image "PSA" about saying "yes" to shady contracts with Halliburton and torturing Gitmo prisoners. This was followed by "Cool/Not Cool. Of course Barack Obama was "cool" compared to...

OK, so maybe that wasn’t the joke, but after two long years the late night comedians have finally discovered comedy gold in Barack Obama. At least one of them has. On Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Jon Stewart devoted an entire monologue to jokes about Barack Obama. Joke after joke after joke. Believe it or not, ...

It's said that to work, humor must contain a kernel of truth. No wonder David Letterman's effort to wring humor out of the shoe-throwing incident fell so flat, as he joked that Muntadhar al-Zeidi had been offered a show, of all places, on Fox News. Letterman was playing off the report that al-Zeidi is reported to be hot-tempered and possess poor journalistic skills. How bad was the Late Show's bon mot? After airing it on Morning Joe today, Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist gave it a double thumbs-down. View video here.

Has-been late-night grumbler and insecure liberal "comedian" David Letterman continues to reveal his strange obsession with Sarah Palin via contemptible jokes. Palin, after serving her nation and ticket with astonishing dedication for over nine weeks, has returned to the governor's chair of Alaska, where she continues to make decisions that impact people's lives and futures for the better. Meanwhile, Letterman sits in his studio, a sour, whiny gasbag, long past whatever prime he once enjoyed...and gossips with botox-addicts for a living. A mealy-mouthed neurotic like Letterman perfectly exemplifies the empty, soulless Left in Hollywood (and elsewhere). Liberals fear and despise...

EXCLUSIVE: LETTERMAN MOCKS MCCAIN CANCELLATION Wed Sep 24 2008 17:41:58 ET David Letterman tells audience that McCain called him today to tell him he had to rush back to DC to deal with the economy. Then in the middle of the taping Dave got word that McCain was, in fact just down the street being interviewed by Katie Couric. Dave even cut over to the live video of the interview, and said, "Hey Senator, can I give you a ride home?" Earlier in the show, Dave kept saying, "You don't suspend your campaign. This doesn't smell right. This isn't the...
