The Atlantic last week hosted a conference titled “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” at the University of Chicago, where I’m a student. Barack Obama, Amy Klobuchar, Anne Applebaum, Jeffrey Goldberg, Ben Smith, Brian Stelter, and other boldface names studded the program, alongside many lesser-known members of the prestige press. This week, the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics (IOP) and The Atlantic magazine hosted a “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” conference, and we have to hand it to IOP Director David Axlerod for bringing in true experts on the subject. The conference featured some of America’s greatest purveyors of disinformation, such as Barack Obama, Brian Stelter, Anne Applebaum, and a few token conservatives, including Jonah Goldberg and Adam Kinzinger. The media, government, and academia elites speaking at the conference weren’t expecting to be challenged as they self-righteously spewed more lies—but our team at the Chicago Thinker was prepared...

Then, as Hillary always does, she turned around and blamed everyone and everything else. Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 27% are not angry about the government's policies, including 10% who are Not at All Angry........ The data suggests that the level of anger is growing. The 71% who are angry at federal government policies today is up five percentage points since September. Even more stunning, the 46% who are Very Angry is up 10 percentage points from September.

The amount of gymnastics Obama and his team of Chicago street thugs and his Alaska Mafia have performed while trying to stop Sarah is nothing short of extraordinary. They have had their billionaire buddies fund schemes, they’ve coordinated with 3rd rate hate bloggers and so on. They’ve put the full force of the White House as well as their compliant media lackeys up against this supposedly insignificant, washed up moose hunter from Wasilla.

Much of Obama still remains a mystery to me. Yes, he is a far-left radical who is a thug from the Chicago Political Machine. Yes, he wants to remake America in his own image. Yes, he is an egotistical maniac who wants nothing but adoration from throngs of followers. Yet I keep vacillating back and forth on whether or not Obama is a shrewed politician bent on remaking America, whatever the political cost (including his re-election), a puppet of others, or simply a dumb idealist. Whatever the case may be, he and his machine are not happy with the protests...
