A federal judge on Wednesday ruled that the Federal Emergency Management Agency doesn’t need to immediately return more than $80 million that it took away from New York City last month in a dispute over funding for sheltering migrants. Judge Jennifer H. Rearden in Manhattan declined to issue a temporary restraining order, saying the city had failed to prove it will suffer irreparable harm. The city’s lawsuit against President Donald Trump and other federal defendants was expected to proceed as New York seeks a preliminary injunction. The city sued the Trump administration on Feb. 21 after FEMA clawed back grant...

President Trump’s immigration crackdown and reports of an impending federal sting operation have sent waves of fear through Los Angeles’ Latino community — and even legal residents are on the lookout for the feds. Following leaked documents revealing plans for a citywide Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid at the end of the month, nervous Central and South Americans have been afraid to shop, use public transportation or drop their kids off at school, local sources told The Post. Legal residents with prior criminal convictions are also worried about being nabbed and deported, and even those with clean records have been...

Despite plummeting approval ratings, the Biden administration is continuing its war against America’s borders and sovereignty. That war reached a fever pitch recently as videos surfaced across the internet of illegal aliens being released by government authorities into the U.S. Video broadcast by Fox News late last month showed large numbers of illegal aliens being released into the U.S. Most of those released in the video were single, adult males who told the reporter that they were headed to various destinations across the U.S., including Miami, Houston, and Atlanta. “Fox witnessed men go into a small, unmarked office, then re-emerge...

Latin American migrants eager to enter the United States but held in Mexico are praying for President Trump’s election defeat in 2020, believing that a Democratic president will open the borders again. “I want Trump out,” said Honduran Katherine Cabrera, who is being held in Tapachula, Mexico, with her baby. “Once Trump is defeated, and the Democrats take over, things are going to get better,” added El Salvadoran Brenda Ramos. The comments from Ramos and Cabrera and others were included in a Center for Immigration Studies border report on the attitudes held by migrants under the U.S.-Mexico initiative to stop...

The U.S. government on Monday launched a pilot program to collect DNA from people in immigration custody and submit it to the FBI, with plans to expand nationwide. The information would go into a massive criminal database run by the FBI, where it would be held indefinitely. A memo outlining the program published Monday by the Department of Homeland Security said U.S. citizens and permanent residents holding a “green card” who are detained could be subject to DNA testing, as well as asylum seekers and people entering the country without authorization. Refusing to submit DNA could lead to a misdemeanor...

More than 100,000 illegal immigrants who requested a special Obama-era amnesty for adults who came to the U.S. as children have criminal histories, according to an alarming report released this month by the government. Offenses committed by the illegal aliens seeking protection, benefits and rights under the policy known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) include murder, rape, weapon and assault charges. DACA has shielded nearly 800,000 illegal aliens under the age of 31 from deportation and allowed them to obtain work permits and drivers licenses. Obama launched the outrageous measure through executive order in 2012 to help children...

To get a sense of just how out of "the shadows" the vast illegal alien smuggling pipeline to America is, consider the little mention that migrants can now offer Yelp-style reviews for attaining the finest in illegal alien–enabling services, not just in one's choice of smuggling coyote, but in all the vast numbers of choices in NGOs offering shelters and services, according to Michelle Malkin, whose new book, Open Borders: Who's Funding America's Destruction, comes out tomorrow.

President Trump said Monday that he's opposed to allowing immigrants into the U.S. who are dependent on welfare, citing the country's already extensive financial commitments. "I don’t want to have anyone coming in that’s on welfare,” Trump told Breitbart News in an Oval Office interview. “We have a problem, because we have politicians that are not strong, or they have bad intentions, or they want to get votes, because they think if they come in they’re going to vote Democrat, you know, for the most part," he added.

After the shooting Facebook user Dana Marie posted a photo of Cpl. Ronil Singh with this caption: “This is officer Singh. he was killed by an ILLEGAL ALIEN 5 Hours after he took this picture with his beautiful wife, baby and k9! This is precisely why we need to #buildthewall! RIP hero” Via Big League Politics: Officer Singh was a legal immigrant to the United States working a job he loved! The illegal alien who murdered Singh had several prior felonies and should not have been in the US. FACEBOOK censored the post honoring Singh. Facebook does not like the...

A Mexican national charged with killing three people in Missouri in early November was released from a New Jersey county jail in 2017, despite being the subject an active immigration detention request, federal authorities said Friday. Luis Perez, 23, allegedly killed two of his ex-roommates in Springfield, Missouri, on Nov. 1 and then, a day later, shot and killed a woman who had accompanied him to the first two murders. Perez had been kicked out of his apartment by the roommates, Steven Marler, 38, and Aaron Hampton, 23, The Associated Press reported, citing a Springfield police probable cause affidavit. The...

Migrants traveling in a caravan through southern Mexico have rejected a proposal by President Enrique Pena Nieto that they apply for refugee status in the country and obtain benefits. Coordinators of the caravan read out the president’s plan called “You are at home.” Migrants shouted “Gracias!” but “No, we’re heading north!” Activist Irineo Mujica of the Pueblo sin Fronteras group is supporting the migrants in the caravan. He told the group that 80 percent of those who apply for protective status would be rejected and deported. *snip* What's indisputable here is that weak as it is, and as concerned about...

The paint on the road near a predominantly Latino community near Des Moines read, "Deport Illegals." The sprayed-on sentiment didn't last the day, but some officials in the Iowa city are worried it's indicative of a simmering resentment for immigrants that has become more public recently. The red paint defaced both directions on a two-lane road on the city's south side on Thursday. "These actions are unfortunate and not consistent with Des Moines' spirit of compassion," Mayor Frank Cownie said. "Such actions have no place in our city." A city worker painted over the words later in the day. The...

Immigrants living in California without full legal status could serve in some appointed offices under a bill the state Senate sent Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday. The measure, passed by the Senate 26-11, would let people over 18 who lack authorization to live in the country be appointed to boards and commissions. Sen. Ricardo Lara, who authored the bill, says it would overturn laws designed to exclude immigrants from civic life.

We all know about cross-border crime on the Mexico border. What we don't know, according to the liberal media, is that the crime is all one-way: Mexico does not export crime to America, but America causes crime in Mexico. A lot of it! Who knew? The genesis of the article was a remark by President Trump that Mexico's murder rate increased by 27% to 31,000 murders in 2017, in justification for Trump's request for a border wall. The liberal media could not let that stand! So they cited reports claiming that Mexico does not cause crime in America. Those stories you hear about...

Democrats just can’t help themselves. They were winning the battle over family separations at the southern border. Americans of all political persuasions were horrified by the images of children in cages separated from their parents. Despite President Trump’s efforts to blame Democrats for the catastrophe, polls showed that a plurality of Americans placed the blame squarely on the president’s shoulders. Evangelical Christian leaders — who stood with Trump through Stormy Daniels and the “Access Hollywood” tape — began to publicly criticize the family separations. The Rev. Franklin Graham called family separations “disgraceful,” and the Southern Baptist Convention passed a resolution...

Mexico gets a massive cash influx in remittances, American corporations get cheap labor, Democrats get voters . . . Mexico in just a few days could elect one of its more anti-American figures in recent memory, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Obrador has often advanced the idea that a strangely aggrieved Mexico has the right to monitor the status of its citizens living illegally in the United States. Lately, he trumped that notion of entitlement by assuring fellow Mexicans that they have a “human right” to enter the United States as they please. For Obrador, this is an innate privilege that...

Police were heard declaring an unlawful assembly after a line of demonstrators, among them several clergy members, was seen linking arms across Spring Street outside the U.S. Attorney's Office building, blocking the road to traffic as they chanted "Kids belong at home, not in cages." Many of the protestors wore children’s onesies pinned to their chests to represent the immigrant youth separated from their parents by the Trump administration. Some also wore blue arm bands, indicating they intended to be taken into custody for their actions. So far, 25 people have been arrested for failure to disperse, said Los Angeles...

SAN ANTONIO — One of the undocumented immigrants who died in a stifling tractor-trailer here this weekend was a 19-year-old who lived in the United States and graduated from high school in Northern Virginia before apparently being deported to his native Guatemala, according to interviews with government officials and postings on social media. Frank G. Fuentes was one of at least three Guatemalan nationals on a truck packed with undocumented immigrants and driven by James Matthew Bradley Jr., said Cristy Andrino, the consul of Guatemala in McAllen, Tex. Fuentes previously had lived in Virginia, Andrino said. The Guatemalan government said...
