LOS ANGELES -- A federal judge said Monday that she will extend her order prohibiting the city of Redondo Beach from arresting day laborers for violating a local ordinance against soliciting work in public. U.S. District Judge Consuelo Marshall, who last week issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting enforcement, said she would issue a preliminary injunction against Redondo Beach, saying there are "serious questions" about whether the city's day laborer ordinance is constitutional.
