Nine proposals in all, ranging from the rights of EU migrants to the opinions of the Gibraltar Government, were put to the vote, and one by one all nine proposals were thrown out by MPs. Ed Miliband and David Cameron launched attacks on each other's character in angry Commons exchanges over televised election debates. Police searching for the weapons expert named by the government as the possible source for a BBC story on Iraq say they have discovered a man's body.
