Larger than life. Charismatic. Family man. Proud. A firefighter who lived by high standards and expected the same from colleagues. Those were just some of words used to describe John Morrison as his counterparts sat around the table at Coeur d’Alene Fire Department’s Station 3 by Cherry Hill on Thursday. Laughter, smiles, grimaces and tears marked the conversation as they reflected on the battalion chief in charge of Blue Shift who was shot and killed in an ambush attack Sunday while responding to a fire at Canfield Mountain. At one end of the table, there was an empty chair, with...

An Idaho beauty salon is seeing customers “dropping like flies” after its owner called supporters of President-elect Donald Trump “racist, homophobic, and misogynistic” in a now-viral TikTok. “Trump basically gave small men the ability and the courage to be misogynistic and hateful and say s–t like ‘Your body, my choice’ and ‘You won’t have a choice’ and ‘You will bear my child whether you like it or not,’” Tiffney Prickett, the owner-operator of Voiage Salon in Coeur d’Alene, said in the video. “The comments are so gross. The things men say to women are so gross. And I don’t know...

A town in the Mountain West found out the hard way that banning the most potent symbol in Christianity is not the best way to celebrate the nation’s enduring freedoms. Rules for this year’s Fourth of July parade in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, originally prohibited religious symbols from being part of the procession — a bitter irony in a country where the very first provision of the very First Amendment guarantees the free exercise of religion. And the backlash forced organizers to back down.

A jury has awarded more than $1.1 million to an Idaho drag performer who accused a far-right blogger of defaming him when she falsely claimed that he exposed himself to a crowd, including children, during a Pride event in June 2022. The Kootenai County District Court jury unanimously found Friday that Summer Bushnell defamed Post Falls resident Eric Posey when she posted a doctored video of his performance with a blurred spot that she claimed covered his “fully exposed genitals,” the Coeur D’Alene Press reported. In reality the unedited video showed no indecent exposure, and prosecutors declined to file charges....

A typo resulting in a multimillion dollar property value assessment error is expected to affect multiple taxing districts in Kootenai County and delay the distribution of property tax notices. County elected officials convened Thursday for a special meeting to address an overvalued lakefront property in the Rockford Bay Area. An assessor valuation amendment signed Oct. 24 by commissioners and Chief Deputy Assessor Ben Crotinger indicates the front footage of the parcel, was mistakenly entered by an appraiser as 6,966 feet instead of 69.66 feet. The error caused the property’s valuation to jump from $1.4 million in 2022 to $54.3 million...

Why did the Coeur d’Alene police arrest the patriots and not the pedo?

VIDEOFord Fischer, editor-in-chief of News2Share, has covered the Patriot Front quite a bit during their Washington D.C. marches since all the way back in February 2020. However, the same Mr. Fischer by AMAZING "coincidence" just so happened to be all the way across the country in Coer d'Alene Idaho on the same day as the arrests of 31 members of the Patriot Front. Really? Perhaps in his next interview Fischer can explain that amazing coincidence. Perhaps Joe Rogan or Jimmy Dore could interview him to solve the mystery of how Fischer happened to be in exactly the right place at...

VIDEO You might have thought that the "Patriot Front" had already been laughed out of existence since they might as well have been wearing "Undercover Fed" badges. Well, apparently there was an attempt to resurrect what little credibility that group might have had by a very convenient arrest by hilariously over-geared cops in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on June 11. As you can see, even bystanders were mocking the Mutant Ninja Cops for busting undercover feds for the benefit of the cameras. Oh, and speaking of cameras, when did you ever hear of police encouraging people to film an arrest, as...

Ramsey County prosecutors offered Jacob Gunn probation in a plea deal, and the judge sentenced him even more leniently than the agreement called for. ST PAUL, Minn. — Last August, a St. Paul woman was driving near York Avenue and Frank Street with her boyfriend and their two children — ages 1 and 4 — when they heard gunshots. It was someone in another car shooting at them. Three bullets hit their red Denali on the driver's side door, rear passenger door and back of the vehicle. The woman called 911 as she raced away from the car, trying to...
