A Labour MP has said people flying the St George’s Cross outside a migrant hotel in his constituency are “extremists” trying to “mark territory”. Clive Lewis, who represents Norwich South, criticised Norfolk county council for not removing the flags after they were put up on lampposts around the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe over a week ago. Jeremy Corbyn was a member of a private Facebook group in which members published dozens of anti-Semitic messages and holocaust denial theories, it emerged yesterday. Labour last night confirmed it was investigating up to half a dozen party members for their involvement in the group, with Corbyn allies Clive Lewis and Chris Williamson identified as members of the group.
