BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Obama, meanwhile, doesn't know where he is. When he's in Hawaii he thinks he's in Asia. When he's in Australia he doesn't know what time zone he's in. And now he says he's going to send -- get this -- up to 2,500 troops, US troops are going to be sent to Australia to counterbalance the ChiComs' growing power there in the region. That's gonna show the ChiComs we mean business, folks, 2,500 US troops. I'm telling you, this is a show of force unlike the United States has ever demonstrated before. We're not gonna be pushed...

Chinese military aircraft have become more aggressive in confrontations with Japanese aircraft operating over the East China Sea, since a collision between a Chinese trawler and Japanese Coast Guard vessel in September. Red Chinese aircraft are not turning home as soon as they realise they have been detected but are continuing on their course Defence officials in Tokyo told the Asahi newspaper that in addition to the harassment of Japanese aircraft, China has stepped up its probing of air defences in the region and the monitoring of military exercises involving units from the United States and Japan. In the last...

On Friday, May 25th, 2007, the Republic of South Korea reached a major milestone in its military and defense progress. The first Korean Destroyer Experimental III vessel (KDX-3) was launched on that date. The new vessel, named the Sejong the Great, DDG 991, is a full AEGIS capable vessel employing the same AN/SPY-1D system as the US Navy Areligh Burke class destroyers, and also utilizing the same AN/SQQ-89 submarine warfare suite. But the vessels are also much more heavily armed than their American counterparts, with an 80 cell VLS grouping forward dedicated to SM-2 missiles, and a 48 cell VLS...

THE RISING SEA DRAGON IN ASIA - 2007 UPDATE By Jeff Head - Last Update: February 24, 2007 Throughout 2006 and into 2007 the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) has continued its unprecedented modernization and buildup, adding two entirely new classes of major combatant warships to its inventory, along with the other twelve new classes they have been working on. Here are the first pictures I am aware of of the damaghed IDF Naval vessel, the Saar 5. Fron these pictures, it is clear that the ship was hit at an angle that would have allowed the CIWS to engage if it was active. I am now leaning towards the systems not being engaged at the time of attack. IMHO, if true, as some reports have indicated today (buit that I did not want to believe), it would be a fatal and inexcusable mistake in the environment the vessel found itself in...defending other IDF gunboats against air attack during shore...

The purpose of the "RISING SEA DRAGON IN ASIA", web site is to chronicle, document and analyse the rapid buildup, growth and modernization of the Red Chinese navy (PLAN), and attempt to put that growth and modernization into perspective as it relates to the current geo-political situation, and as it relates to United States vital interests in general, and particularly as it relates to the United States Navy. The Site contains a extensive section with a side by side pictorial and technical comparison between the developing PLAN and the US Navy, as well as sections documenting the rapid growth of...

China Debuts Aegis Destroyers By James C. Bussert July 2005 A coastal force extends its reach and capabilities. The People’s Liberation Army Navy recently introduced two domestically designed and built guided missile destroyers that include Aegis-type radars and related technologies. Known as Project 052C guided missile destroyers (DDGs), the ships feature Aegis-type phased array panels, vertical launch systems, long-range missiles and considerable command and control. These capabilities were not found on any previous Chinese-built DDGs. The design of a lead ship with prototype Aegis radar, combat direction links and a vertical launch system (VLS) into a small 6,600-ton hull is...

China is building its military forces faster than U.S. intelligence and military analysts expected, prompting fears that Beijing will attack Taiwan in the next two years, according to Pentagon officials. U.S. defense and intelligence officials say all the signs point in one troubling direction: Beijing then will be forced to go to war with the United States, which has vowed to defend Taiwan against a Chinese attack. China's military buildup includes an array of new high-technology weapons, such as warships, submarines, missiles and a maneuverable warhead designed to defeat U.S. missile defenses. Recent intelligence reports also show that China has...

THE RISING SEA DRAGON IN ASIA 2005 UpdateBy Jeff Head, February 2005 As an update to the original "Rising Sea Dragon in Asia", that I publiushed in January of 2004 (and have been writing and warning about since 2000), I offer this update, dated in February of 2005. This report is fairly short and broad, and I believe does not contain the detail necessary to reflect the true scope of the emerging threat. But it does clearly indicate the nature and size of the current Red Chinese buildup, and their is only one principle power that such a buildup...

Communist Chinese Heavily Penetrating Canada -- And People Thought I Was Nutty by Linda A. Prussen-Razzano Several months ago, I focused attention on our peaceful northern neighbor, Canada, and the problems they were apparently having with the Communist Chinese. Inasmuch as the Communist Chinese successfully infiltrated every level of the Clinton Administration with a cash-for-access plan, a dual process was taking place in Canada. Massive land purchases and alarming dual-use technology business buy-outs were documented in Project Sidewinder, compiled by Canadian Security Intelligence Service (the full report still hasn't been released). Communist Chinese were filtering through Canada, only to disappear...
