VIDEODisgraced Twitter censor Jim Baker who was just "exited" by Elon Musk has a history of antagonism towards the MAGA movement which we know he lumps with what he labels as domestic extremists. To get a glimpse of the mindset of Baker whose final act as a Twitter censor was secretly vetting the Twitter files by removing FBI connections with Twitter's suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story. In this video we see the disgraced former FBI General Counsel Baker at a 2019 conference of fellow liberals discussing "Domestic Extremism and International Terrorism" in which the latter topic was almost completely...

Federal agencies are censoring what you see online to protect America’s “cognitive infrastructure.” A report Monday from the left-wing Intercept revealed shocking details on how the FBI and Department of Homeland Security secretly affected the 2020 election and are rapidly expanding their suppression of dissent. In the spring, DHS revealed that it had a Disinformation Governance Board, headed by a wacky zealot named Nina Jankowicz. The New York Post led the charge against that “Ministry of Truth,” and many people believed the peril ended when that board was dissolved. But far more insidious federal censorship efforts are proliferating. The FBI,...

Rep. Kevin McCarthy reacts to Just the News report, said DHS collaboration with private censors during 2020 election involves "fundamental violations of the First Amendment." House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a relentless critic of creeping censorship and cancel culture in America, is vowing an aggressive investigation into federal agencies' collusion with private entities to silence Americans' opinions on Big Tech platforms if Republicans capture control of Congress. McCarthy's comments Wednesday came after Just the News reported how the departments of State and Homeland Security essentially outsourced censorship activities to a private consortium that facilitated federal officials' requests to censor content...

I previously wrote about Hillary Clinton’s call on European countries to pass censorship laws to force social media companies like Twitter to regulate speech even after Elon Musk’s pledge to restore free speech to Twitter. Now the British Parliament has called on Musk to testify and to explain his alarming pledge to restore free speech. The Biden Administration’s Disinformation Governance Board head, Nina Jankowisz, previously called upon Great Britain to impose state censorship rules. That call has grown since Musk’s purchase. Until now, a unified front of corporate censors was able to maintain an extensive system of censorship with the...

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher criticized pushes to deal with social media disinformation for always focusing “on the producers, never the consumers, as if we’re all helpless, dumb blondes ready to believe anything” and said that “sorting out the lies from the truth is your job.” Maher stated, “Since this is Mother’s Day weekend, let’s pause and take a moment to think about how your mother was always there for you, looking after you, and keeping you safe, and then realize, that’s not Twitter’s job. Keeping you safe and sorting out the lies from the...

I didn't post the actual comic, in case it's a trademark issue. (I don't think it is, but just to be safe).Heard from my mother today that still gets the KC Star that they didn't have Dilbert in the paper today and that it would "return soon." A quick look online shows that the left is having a bit of a fit, because the storyline is a black engineer that is identifying as white, throwing a wrench into the company's diversity stats. It started yesterday, but she just saw it today.Just a little FYI that the censorship is a little...

I see Russia has joined the techno-autocrats at Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram in the fight against misinformation. After effectively shutting down Russia’s independent media last week when they began reporting mis-misinformation, Putin has now shut down most of the Internet for the same infraction. The interior forces came from Roskomnadzor, Russia’s censor, which Friday announced plans to block Facebook, which already had been throttled for several days. In a post on the popular Telegram social media site, the agency accused Facebook of blocking the free flow of information to Russia after it took steps to fact-check state media...

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek has apologized to the company's employees in an internal memo where he said he "strongly" opposes Joe Rogan's use of the 'n-word', but that "silencing Joe isn't the answer." Ek added in the memo to staff obtained by the Hollywood Reporter that "cancelling voices is a slippery slope", and clarified that Rogan himself had decided to delete the 70+ episodes removed from the streaming service on Friday due to the use of 'the n-word' or other offensive content. Many of the other episodes removed from Rogan's massive catalogue were taken down not long after Rogan signed...

The White House indicated Tuesday that Spotify’s attempts to address what they described as coronavirus “misinformation” on podcaster Joe Rogan’s interviews was not a strong enough response to the freedom of speech controversy. Spotify announced a decision Sunday to include content advisory warnings on Rogan’s interviews about the coronavirus pandemic with sources dissenting from the government narrative about the virus. “It’s a positive step but more can be done,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily briefing on Tuesday. Spotify acted to address the situation after musicians Neil Young and Joni Mitchell asked the company to remove...

Transparency advocates have criticized the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decision not to hold a formal advisory committee meeting to discuss Pfizer’s application for full approval of its covid-19 vaccine. Last year the FDA said it was “committed to use an advisory committee composed of independent experts to ensure deliberations about authorization or licensure are transparent for the public.”1 But in a statement, the FDA told The BMJ that it did not believe a meeting was necessary ahead of the expected granting of full approval. “The FDA has held numerous meetings of its Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory...

A leak of google blacklist. While this is no surprise, of course google has freerepublic on its radar as an enemy, here is a listing of a large number (hundreds) and FR makes the grade. Tthis is now circulating to correspond with yesterday's Class Action against Google. From the site: "Zach Vorhies was a Google employee who downloaded 950 pages of internal documents describing Google's censorship regime and then delivered them to the DOJ. He also disclosed these document to the public via Project Veritas on August 2019."
