Intel Officials who claimed Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation now say anti-trust legislation targeting tech companies would promote Russian disinformation.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former Secretary of Defense and CIA Director Leon Panetta, and former CIA Director Michael Morell were among those who said in a Monday open letter that bipartisan antitrust legislation targeting tech companies would cripple efforts to counter Russian disinformation.

So basically he says we need to keep these big tech monopolies so the government has an easier job of controlling what kind of information gets out. These people aren’t even trying to hide it anymore, they want totalitarian control over us.
It has been surmised that the algorithms elevate some tweets, posts, news articles, etc, over others, drop unfavorable ones further down, and then shadowban highly unfavorable ones instead of letting it all be driven by the seekers and consumers of information driving up the things they want.
In a police state, the government "protects" the people from "bad ideas" and "harmful opinions" and "erroneous facts."
Claiming Russian disinformation is Russian disinformation.
