The Trump administration is putting illegal aliens on notice: taxpayer-funded housing is for AMERICANS, not for those who broke the law to come here.
On Friday, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner announced that all Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) nationwide have 30 days to conduct audits verifying the legal status of every single tenant in Section 8 housing and other HUD-funded programs.
The first housing authority to face scrutiny is Washington, D.C., where Turner confirmed that the DC Housing Authority has already been put on notice, according to Fox News.
More than 3,000 PHAs across the nation are receiving the same marching orders. If they fail to comply, Turner warned, they risk losing federal funding.

I VOTED FOR THIS!!!! And thank God this is being done. Illegal aliens should NOT I repeat should NOT be getting ANY freebies from the Govt, PERIOD..if they want to come here illegally fine, they can pay for their own stuff with their own money, but they dont want to, they come here for the freebies they have been promised by Dems to vote Dem
Awesome! But Trump hasn’t affected the price of the tea in China, so it’s a wash.
Yeah, some crew-cut lesbo judge is going to get a phone call from the Soros gang
So nice to have adults in the administration for once. They actually care about the law! What a welcome change!
Like you, I voted for this. Get these deadbeats off our backs and out of our pockets.
Some Soros/Obama judge will overrule this decision, which Trump won’t ignore, and it will be months before it can be implemented, if ever.
I also hope they fire and prosecute any govt staff who goes against it and hides illegals in the housing.
Section 8 is for US Citizens that need it. In Minneapolis, There are over 80,000 Somalians. I bet 65% live in Sec 8 housing. If we could unload them, the money could be used for decent teachers and stable housing for the communities that need it.
If Jr. can stay in the same decent home for 9 months, and he goes to a decent school, he will have a chance, once again.
Most nations require immigrants to PROVE that they can self-support before being allowed long-term resident status. No one here illegally should be in government-subsidized housing. PERIOD. No-one here illegally should be getting government handouts... period.
And indeed - the same should apply to those here LEGALLY - No handouts. You come here, you support yourself.
good!
we give them free food, free health care, and free housing (and free transit passes and more)
if anyone wants to know why so many come here, the answer isn’t far away (like: an inch above this line of text..)
And I pray the clip I heard earlier is true - that a new policy sets a limit of 2 years in Section 8. Those who are currently in Section 8, but have been in the program over 2 years are suppose to start getting notices and direct visits by state-level Housing authority representatives and put on notice.
The exception is for those who are certifiably disabled or in a very limited set of circumstances.
I pray this is true.
“Now watch a black robed tyrant judge issue an injuction saying it’s unconstitutional or racist.”
Monday.
I have said time and time again;
Most Democrats did pay attention to their
Constitution education classes.
A President has a tremendous amount of power.
So much so it is scary.
Judges have no power to enforce laws.
In the Federal government the
only guy that has the legal power to enforce
a Federal judge’s decision is Trump.
He is the Chief law enforcement officer.
Only Congress can stop him,
by Impeachment.
Actually, the price of tea FROM China has been affected...per Grok ...
Yes, the price of tea from China has increased since President Trump’s election in 2016, primarily due to tariffs imposed during his administrations.
Hereโs a detailed breakdown based on available information:
First Trump Administration (2016โ2020): In 2019, a 15% tariff was imposed on Chinese tea imports under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, effective September 1, 2019. This led to higher costs for U.S. importers, particularly small- to mid-sized tea companies specializing in artisanal teas, as China is the largest exporter of tea to the U.S., accounting for nearly 20% of tea imports (strictly Camellia sinensis). While large companies could absorb some costs due to bulk purchasing, smaller businesses faced challenges, with price increases expected to hit consumers in 2020.
The tariff was later reduced to 7.5% in February 2020 following lobbying efforts, but the initial impact still raised costs. Tea imports from China dropped 17% in value from 2018 to 2019, partly due to higher costs and shifts to other markets.
Second Trump Administration (2025โpresent): Since Trumpโs re-election in 2024 and inauguration in January 2025, tariffs on Chinese goods have escalated significantly, directly affecting tea prices.
In February 2025, a 10% tariff on Chinese imports was introduced, increasing to 17.5% and later peaking at 145% in April 2025 before being reduced to 51.8% after U.S.-China negotiations in May 2025.
These tariffs, combined with the elimination of the de minimis exemption for low-value shipments (previously allowing duty-free imports under $800), have significantly raised costs for tea importers. Industry experts note that these tariffs, even at the reduced rate of 30%โ37.5% as of May 2025, increase landed costs for tea by 20%โ50%, with consumers likely facing higher retail prices.
For example, the Tea Association of the USA and industry leaders like Maria Uspenski of The Tea Spot have highlighted that these tariffs create barriers for small businesses and limit access to specialty teas, driving up prices for consumers.
Oh, the yuge manatee! Liberal tears. Yummy.
Government has no money. They only have our money.
I suspect that there are legal immigrants that sign rental agreements and move 6 couches into the living room, and rent to illegals.
