Rudy Giuliani was hurt badly in a car crash last night (Saturday) and is currently in a trauma center. Rudy’s medical provider and business partner, Dr. Maria Ryan, shared the following update on Rudy:
Dear Friends,
My apologies for the delay in responding. I wanted to make sure I personally communicated with his family members. The mayor was involved in a MVA late Saturday evening. He was flagged down by a woman who claimed she was being abused by a boyfriend. He called the police and waited until they arrived. Of course the state troopers wanted a picture with him! In a twist of circumstances, the woman was the aggressor and the boyfriend was found to be bloodied and in rough shape and was taken to the hospital.
After finishing up, he and his staff member (who was driving ) were hit “like a rocket’ from behind . Severely impacting the right rear side . The mayor sustained several injuries with the most concerning being a fracture of his spine, thoracic area level9.
He is in a trauma center on bed rest . Tomorrow he will be fitted with a brace and work with physical therapy. He is aware you are reaching out and he sincerely appreciates your efforts.
He may be discharged within a few days.

First I heard about a Staff Member who had been driving Rudy. No word on whether that Staff person had also been injured. I would imagine he would have to have sustained some sort of impact injuries, if Rudy has been so damaged.

I find it ...odd, that the woman who had flagged Rudy down in the first place, found it necessary or even logical to call him for help. She didn’t have a phone to call for herself? What did she expect Rudy to do about it?
He’s not in office, he’s over 80 and was already in poor health before this ‘incident’.
O God, our help in time of need, Who are just and merciful, and Who inclines to the supplications of His people. Look down upon thy servant Rudolph and have mercy on him and deliver him from the trouble that now besets him. Deal with him not according to his iniquities, but according to Your manifold mercies, for we are the works of Your hands, and You know our weaknesses.
I pray to you to grant your servant Your divine helping grace, and endow him with patience and strength to endure his hardships with complete submission to Your Will. Only You know our misery and sufferings, and to You, our only hope and refuge, we flee for relief and comfort, trusting in Your infinite love and compassion, that in due time, when You know best, You will deliver your servant from this trouble, and turn his distress into comfort. We then shall rejoice in Your mercy, and exalt and praise Your Holy Name, O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen

For example, a drunk boat captain hit an island with her cruiser which killed her best friend in the collision. The captain went through the windshield. Another passenger was uninjured.
She was sentenced to “overnights in prison” for ONE year. A similar case in Broward County, Florida, netted the captain 80 years locked away!

The driver of Giuliani’s car and the driver of the Honda were both injured, but expected to recover.

News accounts these days are so bloody annoying. Divulging one fact, cryptically suggesting another, and probably chucking a third down the memory hole.
I got the impression that she flagged his car down. I don’t know if she knew he was in the car.
