Mike Steger@stegerMGWe’re watching the world reset in real time. This isn’t chaos. It’s strategy.Iran. China. India. The Middle East. All moving at once. Most people can’t see it yet. ransomnote: Below are a few of my notes and some images from the video. At the start of the video, Steger said that Trump's vision exceeds that of others and his strategies work because people can't even imagine what he intends so they can't fight its implementation. Trump thinks bigger than anyone else dares, he outflanks any effort to sabotage the deal. They can't sabotage a deal they can't even imagine exists.I found the entire video...

An immigration appeals board has denied Mahmoud Khalil’s latest bid to dismiss his deportation case, a largely expected ruling that brings the former Columbia University graduate student and Palestinian activist one step closer to re-arrest and possible expulsion. The Board of Immigration Appeals issued the final order of removal on Thursday, according to Khalil’s lawyers. The board’s rulings are not public, and an inquiry to the US Department of Justice was not immediately returned. Khalil said he was not surprised by the ruling, which he called “biased and politically motivated.”

GENEVA, Jan 30 (Reuters) - The U.N. chief has told states that the organisation is at risk of "imminent financial collapse", citing unpaid fees and a budget rule that forces the global body to return unspent money, according to a letter seen by Reuters on Friday. "The crisis is deepening, threatening programme delivery and risking financial collapse. And the situation will deteriorate further in the near future." The U.N. is facing a cash crisis as the world body's largest contributor - the United States - has slashed voluntary funding to U.N. agencies and refused to make mandatory payments to the...

An immigration judge on Wednesday denied a motion filed by Kilmar Abrego Garcia's attorneys to reopen his immigration case, according to a copy of the decision obtained by ABC News. In the emergency motion filed in August to reopen the case, attorneys for the wrongly deported Abrego Garcia argued that because he was deported to El Salvador and then brought back to the United States, he is now eligible to apply for asylum within one year of his last entry into the U.S. But in the order filed on Wednesday, Regional Deputy Chief Immigration Judge Philip Taylor said that Abrego...

Earlier this year, as President Donald Trump was beginning to reshape the American government, Michael, an emergency room doctor who was born, raised, and trained in the United States, packed up his family and left the country. Michael now works in a small-town hospital in Canada….He said he feels some guilt that he did not stay to resist the Trump agenda but is assured in his decision to leave. Too much of America has simply grown too comfortable with violence and cruelty, he said. "Part of being a physician is being kind to people who are in their weakest place,"...

Xi Jinping has put the fate of his country and regime in the hands of others, especially the next leader of the country he considers an enemy, the United States. Yes, China’s ruler, who many consider the world’s most powerful figure, is, in reality, helpless. How did that happen?in short, Xi did it to himself. ...he has consistently rejected common sense advice to boost consumer spending to make it the basis of the Chinese economy, and almost all his recently announced stimulus measures will directly or indirectly erode consumption. This means Xi has only one option left: export his way out of...

A man who killed two people in cold blood uttered just one word before he was executed in a South Carolina prison on Friday - the state's first in 13 years. Freddie Owens said 'bye' to his attorney and was then strapped into a gurney where he awaited the lethal injection that led to his ultimate demise. Owens remained conscious for a minute before his eyes closed, his breaths shortened and his face twitched for five minutes before he died. The 46-year-old killed convenience store clerk Irene Graves during a botched robbery in Greenville in 1997. During his trial, he...

RICHMOND. Va. (AP) — The Virginia State Board of Elections on Tuesday certified the apparent narrow defeat of Republican Rep. Bob Good, one of America’s most conservative congressmen, to a challenger endorsed by former President Donald Trump in the state’s June 18 primaries. The board’s unanimous vote to certify the results does not end the matter, though. Good, who chairs the hard-right House Freedom Caucus in Congress, has said he will seek a recount now that the state has declared his opponent, state Sen. John McGuire, the winner of the primary in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.
