Mike Steger
@stegerMGWe’re watching the world reset in real time.
This isn’t chaos.
It’s strategy.Iran. China. India. The Middle East.
All moving at once. Most people can’t see it yet.
ransomnote: Below are a few of my notes and some images from the video.
At the start of the video, Steger said that Trump's vision exceeds that of others and his strategies work because people can't even imagine what he intends so they can't fight its implementation. Trump thinks bigger than anyone else dares, he outflanks any effort to sabotage the deal. They can't sabotage a deal they can't even imagine exists.
I found the entire video interesting and took a few notes starting just past the halfway mark.
May 20, 2017 Trump went to Saudi Arabia where he spoke to 54 nations of the Muslim world at the Arab Islamic American Summit.
Trump told them that radical Islam had to be dealt with.
Three years later, President Trump launched the Abraham Accords.
Nine years after Trump's 2017 visit to Saudi Arabia, Hegseth signed an agreement on behalf of the US with Indonesian leadership.
Indonesia's Strait of Malacca is transited by 50% of the world's shipping. The prior Indonesian president was in the room during Trump's 2017 speech in Saudi Arabia; the author notes this is 'one strategy, nine years in the making.'
Rubio addressed an important meeting in Washington between Israeli and Lebanese diplomats who were meeting for this first time since 1983. Rubio didn't open his remarks with talk about a ceasefire. Below, he outlined the purpose of the meeting.
After the meeting, the Israeli diplomat said the following.
France was not in the room. They are now seen by all sides as a negative influence. France responded to news of the meeting by ammouncing that France and Britain would hold a video conference regarding freedome of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States was running the actual blockade and engaging in broadscale regional diplomacy. Europe is becoming a global joke.
The Economist concluded their article about these events that they mark another nail in the coffin of the pretense of 'rules based order' or International Law.
Steger says The Economist is not wrong, they simply think it's a trajedy rather than a triumph. He points out that the 'rules based order' was not a neutral framework for global justice. He says its the specific post-war architecture built in London to manage Washington and the world after direct colonial control became untenable. The institutions, financial institutions and military alliances was sold as universal law when in fact it was built to preserve British methods in a new liberal form.
Steger notes that The Economist concedes defeat for now, but British think tank Chatham House is holding a conference during the 6 week Iranian war. The conference theme was 'Resiliance and Rivalry: Securing the transition in a fragile climate.' Steger lists over 200 oil projects which sit blocked in British waters because of the Crown's green policies..
He says they can't see the Iran deal because they can't imagine the scope of the deal. They can't see the Muslim world reorganized because they spent 125 years sowing chaos in the Middle East.
"Consider the events of the past week."
Steger says this is isn't war, chaos and American demise. This is a grand restructuring of the world's strategic map according to American principles.
The old international 'rules based order' crowd is increasiningly irrelevant.
ransomnote: I will add a thread below which I believe relates to Steger's video. As Trump is breaking Britain's hold on the world order, this seems to be the American Revolution 2.0. All the 'sky is falling' MSM coverage distracts from the fact that Trump laid the foundation for worldwide change starting with his first official visit to Saudi Arabia in 2017. His actions regarding Iran and the Strait of Hormuz are not just guesswork - but finishing touches on a 10 year strategy.
Why not celebrate with the biggest 'state fair' in US History about which Trump War Room recently reposted on X? This will be the greatest Independence Day ever and it will therefore take 17 days to celebrate!!!

I hope everyone who can do so will attend the Great American State Fair and take others, particularly the younger generation, so they can take part in a pivotal historic celebration, in honor of the triumph of the American Revolution 2.0.
This is spot on. I think it’s been pretty clear for awhile now, but only recently has it been screamingly obvious. The post-WWII era is over. Trump is re-making the world. And things are going to be better.
The only thing that can really stop him is the Republican Party. And they just might succeed.
Make no mistake. This marks the end of tightly integrated international trade.
Should have included Venezuela in the title. It was a critical foundation before the move on Iran to gain control of China’s lifeline.
WE NEED GREENLAND though to increase the scope of our GOLD DOME air defense system..
Trump is the FIX IT man Gotta love it !

Also Venezuela and Cuba. Probably also add in Nicaragua.
Biggest victory since WW2.
Go to DC? Not for any reason, personal safety being #1.
The Trump appointees I respect the most are democrats..imagine that...we should do away with the 2 party system and vote only for the candidate.
Is this the entrance to the seven years of peace?
“This marks the end of tightly integrated international trade.”
All of us have benefited from that trade, but a significant number have been greatly harmed by it. The way trade is formerly and is currently implemented has been a double-edged sword. It made things like cell phones available cheaply to millions. The cost of that was hundreds of thousands of Chinese who are very nearly slave labor. (Not to discount the Chinese labor that is actually slave labor.) The other cost of that is the thousands of lost American jobs. It used to be someone with only a high school education started in the mail room and twenty years later might be running the company. All of those ladders to success went abroad.
The cultural and economic impact to America’s working class is huge. Recovering from this will take decades and the problem is that governments and regulations are dead set against starting a company or hiring people. And the attempt to tax everything will make recovering even more difficult. Somehow, we need to get government and probably unions out of the equation or we’ll be sitting on disaster for decades to come.
I asked my mother how her family survived the Depression. She told us about the many, many jobs her father undertook. Each of those jobs today requires a license, insurance and bonds. Some of them require a contractor’s license and those are purposely lengthy and hard to get. The problems facing “recovery” are lengthy and structural.
That was more defensive and mercantile than strategic. With our carriers now to big for the Panama Canal, it holds less strategic importance than it once did.
I wouldn’t bet on it. My bet has nothing to do with Trump. Peace in the world for that long a time is just very unlikely.
The doom and groomers were afraid of tge Soviet Union. Reagan did not. He knew they were weak. The State Dept. (the biggest deal state org) thwarted him at any chance.
Trump sees China the same way. In just 6 weeks with Iran, China is being squeezed.
Deep state not deal
That is no different than Iran controlling the Strait of Hormuz.

“We’re watching the world reset in real time.”
I’ve been thinking the same thing for a few days now.
Excellent point. Thanks for sharing.
