The guy in Montana who wrote this in the comments section touched me in a way that not many do.
We are tolerant towards all but the intolerant. We are convinced we are, as I tell my children, "on the side of good." I'm not so sure those who are so critical of Americans without some introspection towards their own flaws are really somewhat jealous of the obvious strengths of the American character. Flawed we may be, but to err when attempting to do the right thing is more desirable than appeasing the 'bad guys" out of fear of confrontation.
