At a time in America’s history when “trans” this or that is all the rage, the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court has gone transjudicial — John Roberts now identifies as psychic. For a second time, Roberts has saved Obamacare. Or, should I say, the “The Incredible, The Amazing, The Astounding, The Extraordinary, The Extrasensory” Mr. Roberts has once again done something absolutely astonishing — he has read the minds of the members of Congress who rammed through The Affordable Care Act to ascertain just what they must have meant when they wrote the bill…even though that’s not...

A unique new Tea Party song and short film will be unveiled at the upcoming Virginia Tea Party Convention in Richmond. Written by Tea Party fave Lloyd Marcus, the song, "Taking Back America", is performed by Marcus and talented Tea Party singer/volunteers from across the country. Richly inspirational, the song's creation is captured in a documentary called "Taking Back America - History in the Making of Music", by award-winning filmmaker Norvell Rose. Both song and film will premiere on October 9 at the Virginia Convention. Here's a sneak peek: http://vimeo.com/14767123

After stirring the political pot in the VA-2 GOP primary, the Hampton Roads Tea Party takes the spotlight in a major newspaper article. The No-Longer-Silent Majority will be heard! http://hamptonroads.com/2010/06/hampton-roads-tea-party-gains-clout-after-scrappy-start

Virginia's 2nd Congressional District - with the nation's highest concentration of military personnel - faces a political tempest from the Tea Party. The Republican primary, in which establishment fave Scott Rigell has collected a ton of upper-level GOP support, has been stirred by an unexpected endorsement. The Hampton Roads Tea Party Board has declared its unanimous support for one of Rigell's opponents - Ben Loyola, a Navy combat vet. Warner Todd Huston's PubliusForum provides details: Following lengthy and vigorous investigation and deliberation, the Hampton Roads Tea Party (HRTP) Board of Directors endorses Ben Loyola in the GOP primary in Virginia’s...

More hard evidence the Tea Party is no extension of GOP brass. In a bold move, the Board of the Hampton Roads Tea Party (SE Virginia - Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth) has endorsed a Republican primary candidate in VA-2 who is NOT the hand-picked favorite of the Republican establishment. Navy veteran and businessman Ben Loyola is the Tea Party Board's fave, over presumed front-runner Scott Rigell, for the GOP nod to go against freshman D Glenn Nye in November. This is a hotly contested, widely watched race that will no doubt draw big media and big money. Go to...

That's the multi-million-dollar question, considering all the political resources already, and about to be, poured into Virginia's Second Congressional District. Presumed GOP primary favorite, Scott Rigell, just released results of internal polling that reportedly indicates he's way ahead of the rest of the Republican field. But that's Rigell's own poll; Tea Party activists say they aren't so sure. (MORE)

Not only is the Hampton Roads Tea Party (SE Virginia) about to stir up the GOP primary in VA-2, it's also doing it in a novel way. This Tea Party has its own weekly radio show. And it'll be using that show to announce its endorsement in the Republican primary for the Commonwealth's 2nd District Congressional race. Clever tactic, I'd say. Already, even though the endorsement isn't set for release until Wednesday, the announcement of the pending announcement is setting the blogs afire. Can't wait to set what the actual endorsement does!

The GOP primary is getting more and more interesting in Virginia's Second Congressional District. The fast-growing, very active Hampton Roads Tea Party is about to announce its Board's endorsement in the crowded race. Which candidate will it be? Almost all are trying to "out conservative" each other. And what will happen if the Tea Party Board backs someone other than the hand-picked establishment candidate endorsed by VA's newly elected GOP Gov McDonnell as well as GOP's Cantor? Watch this one.

Word is spreading about the pending announcement by the Hampton Roads Tea Party (SE Virginia) regarding which GOP candidate its Board will endorse in the widely watched VA-2 congressional primary. Warner Todd Huston's PubliusForum has picked up the story. This could be such a big deal that the announcement of the announcement is getting big play.

Inside sources had it right - the Tea Party in SE Virginia is about to jump into the GOP Congressional race there in a big way. Question is - who'll be their pick in the crowded field of candidates? Here's the announcement on their web site: TEA PARTY BOARD TO ANNOUNCE ENDORSEMENT IN SECOND DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL RACE Continuing to build upon the strength and momentum of successful Tea Party activism around the country, the Board of Directors of the Hampton Roads Tea Party (HRTP) will announce its candidate endorsement in Virginia's Second District Congressional race. The candidate backed by the...

Inside sources say the fast-growing Hampton Roads Tea Party - some 2000+ strong in SE Virginia - is about to heat up the GOP contest for the Commonwealth's Second Congressional District. Word is that an announcement is coming tomorrow, Monday, that could put this Tea Party into a Kentucky-like spotlight (Rand Paul nomination). National attention is already focused on the VA-2 race, where incumbent Dem Glenn Nye is considered vulnerable. Lots of money and media headed this way.

In what could be a major break with the GOP establishment, it appears the Tea Party in southeast Virginia may be about to brew some controversy. Check out the web site of the Hampton Roads Tea Party (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth) http://hrteaparty.com/, and it's pretty clear that some organizers don't care much for the widely endorsed Republican candidate Rigell. So does this mean the Tea Party leaders in Hampton Roads might come out for one of the other GOPers in the race? Worth watching after what happened with Rand Paul in Kentucky.

Political rumblings in Southeast Virginia regarding the state's Second District Congressional race. Grapevine sources indicate the Hampton Roads Tea Party Board of Directors may, any day now, issue a candidate endorsement in the hotly contested GOP primary, to be held on June 8. Seems that many organizers and others in this Tea Party are not pleased with the hand-picked GOP establishment candidate. Fireworks may soon light up the political sky in this region of the Old Dominion. Keep your eye on this race, as it may be that trouble brews for the Republican establishment, as it did recently in Kentucky.

A radio show hosted by two leaders of the Hampton Roads Tea Party in southeast Virginia has been abruptly cancelled. The radio station airing the program, called FreedomWize, suddenly and without clear explanation, pulled the plug this afternoon, less than 24 hours before the show's next scheduled broadcast. Well, at the end of a very tough and trying week for the Tea Party - smears, attacks, accusations, attempts to intimidate and silence us - a station billing itself as "conservative talk radio" in Hampton Roads cancels the show. How many times must we learn the painful lesson? What will it take for us to recognize the near-universal rule governing the outcome of any unwieldy Washington-driven "reform" effort? That rule is: When the government attempts a big fix for something, watch out below! Duck and cover! Run for your liberty-loving life! The fix will, in all likelihood, come crashing down around us; even as seemingly oblivious lawmakers continue to pat themselves on the back for a job well done. Such is the sorry case with the so-called credit card reform act of 2009 — all but buried among the...

I thought I would take the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the Obama stimulus package to issue an urgent warning: Don't let your thinking be infected by the left's insidious attack on the language of job creation in the United States. We must not allow the destructive virus of big government to reprogram our discourse — how we seek to understand and deal with issues surrounding labor and employment in the American free market. If we don't guard against this incessant viral attack, the operating system of our cherished free enterprise will become totally corrupted. And our drive for...
