I would love for one of these zombies to say that they are voting NO because it violates the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution. It seems when they say NO, it is because the bill doesn’t go far enough.

Makes one wonder doesn’t it. It looks like they are parceling out the “no” votes.

Let me see, House political make-up:

(1) 257 Democrats

(2) 178 Republicans

Total 435.

So to pass a simple majority of 218 is required.

Hummmmmm! Lets think about these Dems. Is it a strategy for any of them to be against it, to say give the citizens hope!

Time will tell.

My cousin who is in Ike Skelton’s district is now telling me that on the Lebanon Daily Record blog that he’s now a no. She told me that he changes with the wind, really old fart who is absolutely hiding from his constituents, but used be the man about town, willing to talk to anyone about anything. Now, he’s tried to go with the national party, but his constituents are really pissed.

I wish they would shut up and just vote no.
As it is now, a pre-announced “no” seems to mean one of three things:
1) I really mean it. Sort of. At least for the moment.
2) I want a better special deal for my state and myself.
3) I’d really like to take a shower with Rahm Emanuel.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Sunday March 21st.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

A self-preservation move. Nye is in a fairly conservative district and there are several strong challengers in the Republican primary (Scott Rigell first among them).

I sometimes wonder if the Reapportionment Act should be repealed and the one representative per 40,000 people that was considered during the Constitutional Convention be made the law. Get rid of the 435 member cap. I think that would bring the number up to about 8000? They could hold sessions in a coliseum and the shear size of the House would make this type of deal making, arm twisting nearly impossible. It may in fact paralyze them so bad that they couldn’t case more harm.

On top of that limit the number of aides they get to a handful each and you would assure they are hog tied.

Set their pay at the median national income level and you would never need to consider term limits.

Repeal the 16th & 17th Amendments ... would be a good start at equalization.

Pass Amendments for: Term Limits, Balanced Budget, 4 year Sunset Provision on all laws/agencies, no debt borrowing except in times of a declared war, return all federal land (except Nat’l Parks) to the various States, all politicians must live under the laws that they pass.

Eliminate all earmarks, the $1 to Federal Political Campaign Fund, Corporate charity (in all forms). Realign and consolidate all Cabinet Agencies to reduce fraud and duplication. Reduce all salaries of federal employees and cancel all ‘perks/increases’ based on city of employment.

The hardest of all would be to enact a REAL Ethics Law!

Any and all of these would have an effect with the Elitists we have ensconced in Washington DC.
