The video is graphic by nature and shows the rawest of emotions from people who think they are about to die.

This image shows the flood on the river, and is similar to a Google Earth Map, only it makes Google Earth look like a child's painting in comparison. Read the instructions very carefully. The clean up is well under way with tens of thousands of people flocking into the city from everywhere to help in the clean up.

This is the fourth UPDATE of this terrible disaster. Brisbane residents woke this morning to scenes reminiscent of a war zone. Thankfully the peak was a little lower than expected, but hundreds of thousands of people are now homeless. This post has links to the latest media releases, videos, and image galleries. I mentioned in one of the earlier Posts that the area in Queensland under water was around the combined size of Texas and Oklahoma. Now even bigger, add in New Mexico to that size. All 9 Rivers in the Fitroy River Basin have been in major flood, the first time in recorded history. Now 12 days since those heavy rains started across this wide State, the flood peak has finally reached Rockhampton where I live. Currently in Queensland Australia, there is a significant and major flood event. This is not a localised flood, but one covering most of the Eastern part of a State which is more than double the size of Texas. The flood is centred around Rockhampton where I live, and here I detail some of the effects in our local area and also some in the wider areas to the South and West of here. One of the first media releases to come out of the UNFCCC Climate Change Conference in Cancun Mexico is that we need to go through a period of rationing everything with a high Carbon content (I think they really mean Carbon Dioxide.)
