A Nazi rally it was not.
Madison Square Garden, the greatest arena in the world, where America’s most celebrated icons have taken the stage, was packed to the rafters with patriotic Americans cheering on the formidable ensemble of Donald “Captain America” Trump and the Avengers, as some of his surrogates call themselves.
Trump’s hometown, deep blue New York — whose unpopular Democrat leaders have tried to lock him up — welcomed the former president back as a conquering hero, filling the stadium to bursting, with thousands more New Yorkers lining the route from Trump Tower to cheer his motorcade.
But in his third and most consequential bid for the presidency, Trump is not alone. He is supported by a surprising group of five extraordinarily accomplished Americans, including two apostate Democratic presidential candidates who joined him on stage.
Jordan Peterson calls them “the X-Men,” the Marvel Comics superheroes, the “misfit mutant” geniuses come to save the Republic. They are Trump’s warriors against the monsters of the Deep State and the Blob of censorship, surveillance and war.

I read the article. I’m from nyc but the conservative Staten Island part.
When I was a young lad, it was a lot of fun working and going out in Manhattan. I’d get off in the early AMs a lot and hit the bars...just me, my beers and a jukebox...a few other drunks around :) Walking the streets that late was great.
Not anymore.
I don’t think Trump will win New York. It wont be close...BUT it will be maybe 8 to 10 percent compared to the 23 points biden won it by!!
And it could bring 3 to 5 more house seats to DC for Rs.
That’s huge.
And a MSG rally is one that everyone around the country will read about.
Trump’s a strategy genius at time.
The 5 avengers sound pretty cool...I didn’t know about the Indian guy...wait, there was him, Musk, Vance, Gulbard and RFK...I had to look to remember him. Sorry Robert :(
BUT his wife was there...I’m a dour puss when it comes to some marriages and I thought at first this was a marriage of convenience. Its’ not.
It’s a marriage of love.
And that’s great. A happy POTUS with a happy family life makes for a great president, or at least helps :)
i can ramble if I want!! it’s 230am!! :)

FYI :
“Indian guy” is Vivek Ramaswamy.
The other name you were looking for is Tulsi Gabbard.
Both of the above were Democrat presidential hopefuls.
Special credit goes to Don Jr. He introduced JD to his father.
4 significant Rat rallies since the infamous Nazi rally of 85 years ago.
Trump drew 20,000 to MSG — and tens of thousands rallied outside: ‘They could have sold the Garden twice’

This is a genius strategy. Historical data shows the Party National Conventions in general push about 3-5 percentege points. That’s because people are energized seeing the nominee and the main supporters. So, Trump campaign now tries to recreate it but at the end of the campaign cycle. Why didn’t anyone thought this strategy before?
I like your post, but I would say they didn’t attempt to create anything. They DID create the very big you referenced. With just about every speaker on that platform. It was a phenomenal event. And the entire DNC should be on suicide watch.
Oh, what I meant was the campaign tries to recreate the bump in polls that usually happens after the party national convention.
Because they aren’t Donald Trump. That’s just what he does.
Excellent essay! Inspirational, downright Devine!
Oh, cool. Thanks for the clarification!
Peterson did a podcast called "Is Donald Trump a psychopath?" He goes through the whole Team Trump's personalities, Tulsi, Vance, RFK Jr, Ramaswamy and has a Marvel/DC character comparison for each, complete with comic book style graphics of them. It was pretty good.
I worked 10pm-6am shift in Manhattan in the late 80’s. Grabbing a drink after my shift was for me my Happy Hour. From there, right to Brighton Beach. I miss that.
That was a really interesting episode.
