  • Is Rush starting to put the weight back on? Vanity

Look at the pics on today's website. See one taken a while back alongside Jeb Bush http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.parcol33.0002.ImageFile.jpg and one from todays ditto cam http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.parcol33.0003.ImageFile.jpg . Look at his jowl area. Definitely fuller. Or go to the web page to see it side by side (or one on top of the other) http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.guest.html

Let me ask a question. It's loaded. If Al Gore had won in 2000 and had executed his administration exactly as President Bush has with the exact same results, exact same actions, exact same bills signed, exact same actions, bills and speeches given, the exact same situation in Iraq and the WOT....everything exactly the same as has been done to this point by President Bush, would your support for Al Gore be as strong and would you find fault in Gore what you see as success in President Bush? Please, not Gore wouldn't have done this or Gore wouldn't have...
  • Need Freeper Ideas for 4th of July Music for Radio Station

I'm helping a friend who owns a small market radio station. He would like to devote his entire 4th of July broadcast day to patriotic music to celebrate our freedom. (and the promotion would help a small struggling station doesn't hurt either). We've come up with a few, but would like to amplify the list with your imput so that the songs don't become overly repetitious. Any ideas for songs, from WWII tunes, Iving Berlin Classics, Sousa marches, Military marches, and especially any contemporary music that fits in with patriotism would be appreciated.
  • Rush's Ratings Are Up In Winter Survery---Good News For Him?

Washington Post & Me ^ | del griffith
A recent Washington Post (see source url) article noted that in 13 of 16 major radio market, Rush Limbaugh's ratings are up. Good news for the Maja Rushie? Maybe. This article is reflecting the Winter Arbitrons (Jan-March) which have been released over the past 2 weeks for major markets and smaller markets are still being released. 13 of 16 major markets would normally be good news.....in fact excellent news. As with all news stories, sometimes it's important to peel back the facade and see the entire story in context. What?, you say. The point I want to make is that Rush ...
  • Gumbel's F Word in Real Audio

I hope this works, 'cause this is the first time I've done a link. To actually witness the Gumbel clip in Real Audio click here. IF the link doesn't work simply log onto www.mrc.org. I would be curious, after watching the clip, did he really say what they claim and to whom they claim?
  • Has Rush Lost Listeners?

Any Rush insiders here who can tell me whether listenership to his program is down? I've made it to the screener 5 times in the last 2 weeks. On the air twice. My cell phone bill will confirm at least 4 of the hits. (For any doubters, when it comes to me it will be available.)Three times on Monday or Tuesday and once yesterday. I can't remember if the 5th time was from my cell phone, which would log the call, or my office phone which wouldn't. And usually on the 3rd of 4th redial max. This is highly unusual, as ...
  • Why Did Rush Trip on His Answers About School Vouchers?

    03/25/2000 5:12:03 AM PST · by del griffith · 309+ views
limbaugh radio show | Del Griffith
Did anyone yesterday sense the difficulty that Rush had answering a lady callers questions about school vouchers? She brought up some very interesting questions from an interesting perspective. Her questions cenetered around if the vouchers are granted by DC, what's to assure DC won't try to influence vouchered schools. I don't normally hear Rush not be well prepared to answer a question. On this matter, she caught him not well prepared. The questions she asked were some of the questions I have had for some time. He really put forth an effort to come to a reasonable answer and IMHO, ...
  • "Voinovich Statement' from Bush Staff

02/24/2000 4:05:34 AM PST · by del griffith
    Columbus Dispatch | 2-24-00 | Roger K. Lowe
To be brief, this is an excerpt."This is politics at it's worst", Ohio Senator George Voinovich was quoted as saying in a statement issued Tuesday evening by Bush staff members. "This smear campaign is beneath contempt and beyond comprehension."There's only one problem with the statement. Voinovich never said it. And he never authorized the GOP presidential candidate's campaing to issue the statement in his name. In a rush to roll out expressions of outrage from varioius governors and senators condeming McCain's tactic, the Bush campaign wrote down what it WANTED (emphasis mine) Voinovich to say and distributed the statement via ...
  • It Takes One to Know One: "Mushy Moderates"

    self | 02-18-00 | Del Griffith
Let me first explain that I one of the so called "Mushy Moderates" so often referred to on this forum and articulated on the Rush Limbaugh program. Actually here on Free Republic, the term RINO is more frequently used. The term "moderate" doesn't bother me. In fact, I'm proud of it. Using the adjective mushy before the word moderate, while labeling me (I thought that was a liberal trait), doesn't really define my thinking process and the term RINO is, well, just off the mark. That being said, I overall support John McCain. I have no real problem with George Bush. ...
  • Ok Keyesters, Where's That Alan Keyes?????

Following the many Keyes articles and threads here on Free Republic, there seems to be 3 ways views of Alan Keyes:1. The ardent supporters who would be behind him no matter what the circumstance. 2. Those who like what he says, but wish he had a better way of saying it or would get off the race card.3. Those who would not support him under any circumstance, who think he's a kook or are dems responding to a thread about a candidate who they don't like. This thread is directed at the #1's and 2's.If you saw the Sam and ...
  • Should Y2K Alarmists be Held Accountable?

Y2K. That unknown computer programming bug that caused New Years Eve parties to be held at company IT centers around the world. Increased real estate sales in the hills of western Virginia and the remote parts of the Rocky Mountain states. The event that caused bottled water, freeze dried food, back up generators, weapons and other survial gear sales to soar.Certainly early on, the Y2K bug was serious stuff. There were no fixes. Billion of lines of software code would have to be studied, parsed and repaired. Hardware fixes could have to be devised. And would those fixes only fix ...
