I get your point, but I’m not sure anyone in here is interested in logic. I have been a little pompous and I apologized for such, but this is way right wing conspiracy stuff in here. I honestly though I was as Anti-Democrat as they come, but I’m a leftist in retrospect it seems. I’m also a bit of a conspiratorialist myself, but this is too far out there for me. I will say anything is possible when government and money is at stake.

It is sad where we have got to as a human race, really. All of us, not just those in power. Maybe it has always been like this I don’t know. No wonder we need a Savour.

Listen, allow me too apologize. I have NOT endeared myself to anyone and I did sign up to speak against Toyota. I’m very much amazed by Obama and this “new” America, but it has been coming slowly for 50 years. The only highly competent, God fearing man that has sat the white House in that time is RR. I’m actually fond of the Bush’s but they were no RR. They got a bit of a bad rap, but still.

As for our country, it is coming and it is Biblical. Maybe that’s why I’m not that shocked or bent way out of shape by it all. It has been prophesied and it is what it is. I voted for McCain, but I didn’t care for his politics either.

As for Toyota, the problem is as good as Toyota was, they got fat and the media let them. You guys are screaming a left win agenda, but in reality they got huge positive press for years either explicit or complicit. There have been some fairly serious Honda problems in recent years as well (incidentally they aren’t near as arrogant and I don’t have as big an issue with them) yet it was 3rd or 4th page news. Same as Toyota. You guys are shocked because this is all new to you. It isn’t to me. It has taken 4, 5 and 6 years to come out because for a long time they were the media darlings. Their quality has slipped for years as they chased GM. You guys can deny it all you want, but anyone but Toyota would have been long buried. No way it takes this long for Ford to be on the firing squad. So now you tell me Obama is anti-Toyota............could be and I don’t care. They got their day in the sun. We have been on them for years, but no one noticed until very recently. We passed them or equaled them in quality ratings 2 years ago, yet all the Toyota propaganda was still there. The media helped to bury GM, it is now fitting that they turn their gaze on Toyota.

Forgive me for being a little jaded. They no longer make a drastically better car and it is time people knew. I have never said Toyota wasn’t better at a time, and I acknowledge that. You guys need to acknowledge that the media has lambasted the domestics for years, while Toyota got a free pass. Guess what............now they don’t And I’m ok with that. It doesn’t make me a troll, or a democrat it only makes me human.

For every person who tells me a “great” Toyota story there are others who would tell you a bad one. That is how this works and it is called perspective. I know Toyota made some great cars, I also know they were over hyped and dropped the ball. Today they got their well-deserved day in court and they had no answers. There will be more, of that I’m certain. You can keep telling me how great they are and I can keep telling you my spin, but in the end people have heard and they will suffer a little as a result.

Hopefully Ford will reap some benefits. A true hard working American Car Company. They employ more Americans and their profits stay HERE. They also don’t sell cars in Iran.

Now we finds out they were putting out erroneous quality reports and they have recalled. 5 MILLION for way more than just acclerater concerns cars and the best you can come up with is a government conspiracy and Chrysler recalled 300K?!?!?

Really, that’s it…………………….they aren’t talking about it because it pales in comparison. Besides Chrysler was last seasons’ whipping boy. They got theirs.

By the way I sell Ford, I could care less if you buy GM’s and you have NO credibility if you can’t acknowledge how heinous the media has been to the domestics for years. That of course was fine, because they deserved it, right?? Poor Toyota doesn’t.

There are of course millions NOT posting on here, you do realize right? Some will leave some wont. We are getting our share and I don’t have to hear anymore how great the resale is. It was time and things are never as good or bad as they seem.

PPS………please don’t tell me they are an American car company they aren’t. Their profits and tax on profit goes over seas and they sell cars in Iran. No American car company does that. Ford also employs more American workers than Nissan, Toyota and Honda combined. That is an American car company.

cash for clunkers was democratic reform at it’s finest. It ruined what was already a bad economy for the car business for a month and a half of “good” sales. It did exactly what us intelligent dealers were afraid of. Drove up used car values when they weren’t selling anyway.

Keep watching........it was interesting today at the hearing when they asked about why there was a different accelerating apparatus in the Japanese model than the American model. Also quite telling in 2007 they told us here in America it was “floor mats” and in Japan they shaved the gas pedal...............hmmmmmmmm. And when asked they couldn’t answer and didn’t deny……………

What’s the chance I could millions of domestics owners to say the same, or domestic web sites as well. If your answer is good you are right. I have had 10 domestics in 15 years and they have all been stellar.

I have also bought 3000 cars and appraised 10000, Toyota’s values have been dropping and Fords are going through the roof.

Thank-you and you are dead on. This is only the tip of the iceberg and has been coming for a while. Toyota tried to hold it off for as long as possible but it is worse than we know. Anytime you have cooperate email bragging about how they negotiated 100 million dollar savings with the government on recalls, it is blatant disregard for your, quality and disrespect for your customers. They don’t respect Americans, heck they have only recently got on the CSI bandwagon. Talk to long time Toyota buyers. Their customer service used to suck, because it could. They did make better cars and their ego matched it. They didn’t care about their customers. Finally however their quality lagged as well. Surprisingly they didn’t learn anything from GM.

Now I’m being lambasted for telling it like it is and being called a troll. Thanks for the support. I’m no troll and everyone has to be inspired to sign up sometime. Today was the day, this thing has legs and it ain’t going away.

First off the truth isn’t a “thing” or a moral compass, it is The Truth, being Jesus Christ.

I’m getting all kinds of Toyota and GM business. Honestly this has been great for Ford. No one wants to buy a “gov” owned enterprise and now they don’t want Toyota’s I couldn’t have scripted it better. I have traded for a 2009 camary Hybrid, a 2008 camary & a 2005 Avalon recently.
