(WXYZ) - The FBI is confirming raids at the offices of three Michigan auto suppliers who do work for Toyota.

Search warrants were served Tuesday evening at Yazaki North America, DENSO International and Tokai Rika. Yazaki sells electronic components and DENSO makes accelerator pedals.

Denso has released the following statement about the situation "DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), U.S. subsidiary of DENSO Corporation, was inspected on February 23, 2010 by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice in regard to U.S. antitrust laws. DIAM is cooperating with this investigation."

EXACTLY.

I have a number of Japanese friends from the old school and this public humiliation they are forced into is worse than death.

Osama and his Commie and union minions are in for a huge comeuppance.

The Japanese never forget, never. And now that the ChiComs have bailed, they are a majority owner in our debt.

Stupid move Osama!

I've been known, in the past, to complain about "Japan, Inc."...

I feel the same way about "U.S.A., Inc."! What's next? Will Government Motors get to use the Justice Department against Ford?

I am not bullish on GM in some regards I agree with you however...

GM has Obozo's printing presses. They do not need taxes, they will fiat them afloat.

The problems are greater.

Porkulus is keeping Michigan afloat and unless their is more of it, the spending to balance the budget runs out in 2011 and that is not the only negative. Obama is keeping Chrysler afloat which I hate to say is dead man walking and GM may not be far behind. If all this comes crashing down together, Michigan will be an absolute basket-case and it could take the whole country with it. He is keeping it afloat as a state because he needs to carry it in 012' to win.

This is all not good no matter how you slice it...

BTW...

Yazaki is a Japanese privately held company that makes wiring harnesses and has a large presence in Canton MI. I know employees, but I doubt they will talk about this...

I don’t really need quality reports. I have my own experiences to draw from. Toyota makes great cars.

What exactly does this mean…………………….

“””””””You don’t give a damn about shit, Chad. ‘Truth’? Yeah right”””””””””””

First off the truth isn’t a “thing” or a moral compass, it is The Truth, being Jesus Christ.

2nd I’m all about the Truth, period, end of story and as another pointed out I ONLY signed up to dispute the Toyota love. I am as Anti-dem as most of you it seems, with maybe a tad more restraint & perspective. But this Toyota stuff has grated me for years.

Belive me when I tell you many people have lost Faith in them and it is THEIR own fault.

Chad

Chad, you are (1) an idiot and (2) prove a Toyota cover-up

(1) is a given

(2) where is that proof?

That’s what I thought

“So you are saying this stuff is made up?””

Ummm...no.

I said that in our personal experience of owning 4 Toyotas, over a 25 year time period, we had ONE malfunction. This is in comparison to a Plymouth Voyager that was a dangerous lemon literally from Day One, and was in the shop more than it was in our garage, two Ford Expeditions that were reliable enough, but had countless build quality issues, and Chevy Trucks that had electric window problems, AC units with ducts that routed the condensation under the mats INSIDE the cab, and a safety circuit that policed the correct closure of the gas cap so diligently, that it arbitrarily would not allow the driver to start the engine, even though you had filled the tank three stops previously : /
So good of you to sign up today to set us all straight, being in the car business and all ;}

FReeregards,
Tatt

The Japanese are xeonophobic, and likely didn’t listen to the Americans who complained seriously enough — but they also take quality very seriously. A LOT more seriously than I know GM took it. I’m more familiar with the GM operation than Ford, although I’ve owned both. Right now, every car I have is a Toyota. And that’s because I liked the quality. They are the best.

Before I bought my Rav4 I rented a Fusion. The Rav4 — better.

The kind of sudden acceleration events that have been reported are (1) rare and (2) to be expected as cars become more and more fly-by-wire. Ford is not immune to them. And like I said — even if Toyota did lower some quality over the last FEW years, they were still the best, as far as I could tell.

Resale on five, seven, ten year old cars tells the tale. Read the comments on the major resale web sites. People do NOT have the complaints on Toyotas that they do on any American model.

When I was looking two years ago I was carefully comparing Hondas to Toyotas — Toyota beat Honda.

Your business colors your ‘truth’. I’m just a car user. I haven’t done any work with the auto business for ten years or so. I’d have preferred to go Ford or GM — but I could no longer justify it — and after the takeover I’d never buy a GM.

Alinsky's Rule for Radicals. 1. ridicule 2. demonize. If they think they're gonna take down Toyota for GM, they'll have satisfied Toyota customers voting against democrats.

This is the jack booted thugocracy.

What a bad joke this is. I have no doubt that almost all the accidents blamed on “sudden acceleration” were actually caused by driver error when drivers mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal when they intended to step on the brake.

Spot on. I was just saying this to someone earlier today. This is Bovine Scat spurred on by the state run media, trial lawyers, unions, and the lowlife scumbag Demonrats.

I doubt they can even reproduce the problem. The cause is DWD. Driving while demoncrat aka driving while dumbsh!t. Slamming the accelerator pedal to the floor instead of the brake pedal.

Thank-you and you are dead on. This is only the tip of the iceberg and has been coming for a while. Toyota tried to hold it off for as long as possible but it is worse than we know. Anytime you have cooperate email bragging about how they negotiated 100 million dollar savings with the government on recalls, it is blatant disregard for your, quality and disrespect for your customers. They don’t respect Americans, heck they have only recently got on the CSI bandwagon. Talk to long time Toyota buyers. Their customer service used to suck, because it could. They did make better cars and their ego matched it. They didn’t care about their customers. Finally however their quality lagged as well. Surprisingly they didn’t learn anything from GM.

Now I’m being lambasted for telling it like it is and being called a troll. Thanks for the support. I’m no troll and everyone has to be inspired to sign up sometime. Today was the day, this thing has legs and it ain’t going away.

Chad

PS....................I feel bad for the customers, but not Toyota

Maybe some Japanese company will buy large parts of Chicago... and bulldoze it, replacing the tenements with a Toyota factory.

Then import non-union workers from right-to-work states to rub salt in the wound.

What’s the chance I could millions of domestics owners to say the same, or domestic web sites as well. If your answer is good you are right. I have had 10 domestics in 15 years and they have all been stellar.

I have also bought 3000 cars and appraised 10000, Toyota’s values have been dropping and Fords are going through the roof.

This woman had the audacity to sell her “deathtrap” to some unsuspecting victim, then throw Toyota under the bus four years after she sold it? And, BTW, the new owner hasn’t had any problem with said vehicle 27,000 miles later?

Sheesh
