(WXYZ) - The FBI is confirming raids at the offices of three Michigan auto suppliers who do work for Toyota.

Search warrants were served Tuesday evening at Yazaki North America, DENSO International and Tokai Rika. Yazaki sells electronic components and DENSO makes accelerator pedals.

Denso has released the following statement about the situation "DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), U.S. subsidiary of DENSO Corporation, was inspected on February 23, 2010 by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice in regard to U.S. antitrust laws. DIAM is cooperating with this investigation."

this anti Toyota troll is trying to tell us now that people got rid of 3 of them in trade ins.

yea right.

If the goons are doing this then most I know anyway are saying no way will they buy GM crap.
I’m looking for a car for the wife this year and now I have made my mind up and that is the avalon

My neighbor has a camry and I asked him abot what is oging on and he said he had a caddy before the camry and he thinks this is better driving than the caddy and this is an all round assault on Toyota to take the comp out for GM and the unions

The unions can’t even say buy American anymore as Toyota employs thousands of Americans and yet most business GM makes is overseas .

They have made a big mistake

Just noticed this in the news today, could this be the beginning for them?

Keep watching........it was interesting today at the hearing when they asked about why there was a different accelerating apparatus in the Japanese model than the American model. Also quite telling in 2007 they told us here in America it was “floor mats” and in Japan they shaved the gas pedal...............hmmmmmmmm. And when asked they couldn’t answer and didn’t deny……………

Nope nothing here...........

You don't have to feel bad for this customer...our old Camry has served us so well I don't have words to describe how much we have depended upon it and how it has always served us so very well. At two hundred and fourty thousand plus miles she has been worked hard and still looks remarkable.

Other recalls in the past probably have gone down this same path...but Toyota has learned a lesson and has come clean and done more than other manufacturers...our government is MAD at Toyota for NOT using union thugs.

Just watch..within a few months the next non-union car company will be on the chopping block.

We have bad people running our government.

you keep saying that people have lost faith with toyota but non one on here has and I know people with Toyotas including the neighbor and he is really pleased with his camry.
He had a caddy before that and he said the Camry is better so I fail to see how you can say people have lost faith because on here and what folks are saying it different to you

cash for clunkers was democratic reform at it’s finest. It ruined what was already a bad economy for the car business for a month and a half of “good” sales. It did exactly what us intelligent dealers were afraid of. Drove up used car values when they weren’t selling anyway.

NO WAY

I had a chevy venture and a chevy conversion van and both had problems with windows.
I had a GMC Yukon XL and I had nothing but trouble for a few month until it was all fixed

I have no clue how this troll can say what he is

At this point, I’m willing to pay twice as much for a Toyota in order NOT to buy from an American car company controlled by this fascist administration.

"From my gnome, a guy in (Jersey?) a year or two ago charged and sentenced on vehicular homicide in his Toyota and the jury thought he was smoking crack because his defense was the car accelerated on it's own."

I read this story this weekend about a guy from St. Paul that is currently sitting in jail with a similar claim:

'I know that I stepped on the brake,' imprisoned Toyota driver says of deadly 2006 crash

The Japs have a thing called pride and I guarantee that the owners pride has been hurt unlike Govt motors.

I am certainly getting an Avalon this year for the wife and after the way the Govt/GM has done business then I will never take the chevy I have back to the dealer but have a local garage owner service it.

It is disgusting how the Govt and their sidekicks in the media have gone after a company and yet nothing about the Gm and Chrysler recalls which is over 300,000 minvans.

fascism at it’s finest today and I know it has woke a few up inthe country about this disgusting act

for the poster who sells cars and registered on here today to tell us how he hates Toyota then forget it I won’t do business with Gm again

There are of course millions NOT posting on here, you do realize right? Some will leave some wont. We are getting our share and I don’t have to hear anymore how great the resale is. It was time and things are never as good or bad as they seem.

I have and always will buy American cars.

Chad

PS..................I am a strange troll because I’m not one. I’m passionate and not interested in political dogma, just tired of the outlandish praise heaped on a foreign car company.

PPS………please don’t tell me they are an American car company they aren’t. Their profits and tax on profit goes over seas and they sell cars in Iran. No American car company does that. Ford also employs more American workers than Nissan, Toyota and Honda combined. That is an American car company.

Chad,

I have leased/purchases new Toyota/Lexus/Honda/Audi products every three years for about 25 years and have had NO problems other than cosmetic nonsense. You are obviously an anti-Toyota (or anti-import) troll who knows nothing about the stellar quality Japanese (and German) manufacturers have to offer. This is telling with the high residuals/resale values in these vehicles. If you are really in the car business, you know of this jargon I speak. BTW, if you work for Ford, you’re next.
If you are a wholesaler of autos, you are, as we say in the car business, HOSED!

日米貿易戦争開始

And so it begins.

One could see this coming.

In a sense, it is a "wag the dog" without bombs or bullets. Obama could not give an ounce of cr*p about keystone, strategic and vital US-Japan Relations. He is out to destroy it; his rather insincere bow to The Japanese Emperor in November was just for starters; for I heard no shortage of very intelligent and savvy, tea-reading Japanese say to me afterward, "this man is up to no good and we sense his insincerity. He is going to attack us soon, all the while with a smile on his face."

And I am beginning to feel they were right.

just tired of the outlandish praise heaped on a foreign car company

Here comes some: I've personally owned several foreign cars, a Honda and two Toyotas, and one American car.

I spent more keeping the American car rolling than the other three COMBINED.

Improve your product, please.

They WILL learn to hire union.

Every time I think I couldn’t despise this Administration more, they manage to pull more gestapo tactics.
