Uhhh, you are both very wrong. The word “vikingr” means “raider” or “wandering seafarer (pirate)” in Old Icelandic. It comes from the Old Norse “vik-” which means “inlet,” and “ingr” which means “one who lives or inhabits.” In other words, someone who hides in bays or inlets (implied is the “waiting to attack” part). It is the word the Norse used themselves to describe the raids they would take on neighboring shipping and lands (to go “viking” meant to go raiding or adventuring). Unlike modern peoples, conditioned to be ashamed of their culture, the old Norse peoples were proud of their military prowess and felt no shame at all in raiding and taking away valuables from those who couldn’t keep them by force of arms.

False. There's not a man that I know who would not drop the controller instantly for a provocatively-dressed spouse or girlfriend. Sex or gaming? Sex wins every time. The problem is that, once they have their man, many women feel like they don't have to entice him any more. They feel owed his attentions. Well, if you take no interest in your husband's passions, no interests in his work or leisure activities, but expect him to be instantly attentive when you want to talk (usually about some emotional turmoil you are working through that men naturally discard), you're going to be very disappointed. If you want a marriage or relationship to succeed, you both need to work at it. Once you stop putting in the work, he will, too.

Well, I do. I have degrees in English, Physics, and Education (the first and third as graduate coursework). Compared to even my Bachelor's in English, the M.Ed. program was laughably unchallenging. There were other members of the program who couldn't do basic math, and some who had to be tutored to pass the Praxis I. I have several colleagues who have E.Ed.s, and they will tell you that it requires barely any college-level work, much less graduate work. So, no, the only people who will say that the standards for an Ed degree is rigorous or difficult are the low-IQ mouth-breathers who barely were able to complete one. Education majors are some of the lowest qualifying college students by SAT and GRE scores, and have been for decades. That's why I always encourage future teachers to get a degree in a subject matter, and not a general education degree. At least they will know something before they get in the classroom...

California requires a special blend of gasoline. Refineries only produce as much as they think California will consume. When that consumption goes up, the shrinking gas supply causes prices to go up until more can be produced. Hence Newsome’s demand that companies keep more gas in reserve. He will demand that refineries make more gas they can’t sell elsewhere and companies store more gas that they can’t sell elsewhere in order to lower the prices in California, wrecking the financials of those companies. Why a gas company hasn’t just refused to make it and moved on is beyond me...

BH makes money by destroying businesses. They buy shorts and depress stock rates, in addition to holding some company stocks for slow growth. BH will use proxies to sabotage a company’s rep so they can short the company (or buy low). They have no loyalty to the companies they buy; they will destroy a company and its revenues if it will make them more money. I’d soon praise a socialist (and I’d never do that) before I’d praise vultures like BH.
