Cincinnati lost a veteran cop in a shootout. Apparently the perpetrator was also killed. The story is still unfolding.

At 8PM in the Town Square Sean Hannity's Get Out The Vote tour hits town. With Sean will be Bill Bennett and Oliver North. Local speakers,entertainment plus a performance by the Van Dells singing the National Anthem. That's just the warmup. Sunday Night at Great American Ballpark, President Bush will be appearing. Hannity on his show had a call from a "moderate to conservative" democrat. The caller said it was a minority of dems dissing Reagan and the stuff on Democratic Underground was comparable to what was said here about Paul Wellstone. Sean then stated that he didn't think so and if it was it was a minority of "Freepers" and certainly not the same as the mainstream commentators taking their shots at the Gipper. He said some here take their shots at him too, but he knows it's a just a few. It was great to hear him straighten things out.

The television show Cops stopped filming in Cincinnati today after council members objected to what the show might depict. Cincinnati Police Chief Tom Streicher changed his mind Thursday about letting the Fox TV show crews continue to film, which they had started Tuesday.

The body of a former Portsmouth nursing home patient was buried Wednesday morning on the property of a Siloam residence after spending four days in a freezer. The Greenup County Sheriff's Department was not releasing the name of the woman, but did confirm she died Saturday and was put in a freezer by her son — who's name was also withheld — until she could be buried.
