Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is calling on President Donald Trump to end the “heartless” policy of separating immigrant children from their parents at the U.S. border. “Children shouldn’t be used as a negotiating tool,” Bush tweeted on Monday. “@realDonaldTrump should end this heartless policy and Congress should get an immigration deal done that provides for asylum reform, border security and a path to citizenship for Dreamers.” The failed presidential candidate’s plea came in response to President Trump’s tweet in which he vowed to stop “some of the worst criminals on earth,” from using children to illegally enter the U.S....

How big is Michigan's issue with opioids? Consider this: Michigan health-care providers wrote 11 million prescriptions for opioid drugs in 2015 and another 11 million in 2016 -- enough to provide every Michigan resident with his or her own bottle of narcotics, according to state data. Opioids are a class of drugs that include the illegal drug heroin, synthetic opioids such as fentanyl and prescription pain relievers such as OxyContin, Vicodin and codeine. Heroin, horse tranquilizers and heartbreak: How addiction killed 51 in Jackson County last year. Opioids can be highly addictive, and their use and abuse is a growing...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is under fire after Democratic candidates lost four special elections to replace lawmakers selected for posts in President Donald Trump's administration, but she said Monday there is "no way" she'll step down while Trump is in the White House and Republicans have control of Congress. "Let me tell you why I should stay instead," Pelosi told the "CBS This Morning" program. "I'm a master legislator, experienced in terms of knowing institutional memory of the Congress. If Hillary Clinton had won, I might have gone home, but with Donald Trump in the White House, with a...

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The owner of one of Canton’s most popular waterfront restaurants, The Boathouse, says more than 30 immigrant workers left in fear after a Department of Homeland Security worker hand-delivered a letter demanding documentation of their immigration status. That stunned the eatery’s customers. “It seems like terrorizing people who are trying to work at the restaurant,” says customer Michelle Zhang. “It’s not only bad for for the business but it’s bad for the families.” “If that many left… are they not following the policy?” asks Ryan Horan, another customer. “Are they not doing it the way they should...

At Monday’s audio-only and photos-only White House press briefing, CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta continued to make a fool out of himself, melting down and screaming at press secretary Sean Spicer over the current set-up for briefings. Acosta first interrupted after a female reporter didn’t get her question answered. When he yelled at Spicer to answer her question, Spicer lobbed some A+ shade at Acosta: “There's no camera on, Jim.â€Â‘ThereÂ’s No Camera on, Jim!Â’ Showboating CNNÂ’s Acosta Yells at Spicer Over Press AccessThe CNN liberal immediately took Spicer’s bait, screaming as Spicer tried to move on: “Maybe we...

http://news.softpedia.com/news/The-First-Test-That-Proves-General-Theory-of-Relativity-Wrong-20259.shtml According to Einstein's theory of general relativity, a moving mass should create another field, called gravitomagnetic field, besides its static gravitational field. This field has now been measured for the first time and to the scientists' astonishment, it proved to be no less than one hundred million trillion times larger than Einstein's General Relativity predicts. ABSTRACT New results are presented from an extended experimental investigation of anomalous heat production in a special type of reactor tube operating at high temperatures. The reactor, named E-Cat, is charged with a small amount of hydrogen-loaded nickel powder plus some additives, mainly Lithium. The reaction is primarily initiated by heat from resistor coils around the reactor tube. Measurements of the radiated power from the reactor were performed with high- resolution thermal imaging cameras. The measurements of electrical power input were performed with a large bandwidth three-phase power analyzer. Data were collected during 32 days of running in March 2014....

Is the Cold Fusion Revolution Here? Published March 8, 2014 | There seems to be a lot happening in the world of cold fusion/low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) right now. So we can now rightly say that a cold fusion revolution could be beginning. Some of the most important developments include: Peter Hagelstein and Mitchell Swartz’s 2014 Cold Fusion Independent Activities Period (IAP) Course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in January. Jerry Rys the Alien Scientist blogger attended the course and created a great video about it which does an excellent job of describing cold fusion what cold...

Believe it or not, the first cold fusion power plant is now available to pre-order. The E-Cat 1MW Plant, which comes in a standard shipping container, can produce one megawatt of thermal energy, using low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR) — a process, often known as cold fusion, that fuses nickel and hydrogen into copper, producing energy 100,000 times more efficiently than combustion. It sounds like E-Cat is now taking orders for delivery in early 2014, priced fairly reasonably at $1.5 million. Has cold fusion — the answer to all our energy needs — finally made its way to market?
