Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg ordered the release of documents related to Jack Smith’s classified documents case and President Trump’s attorney-client privilege dispute. Jack Smith used a DC grand jury – and a radical Marxist Obama-appointed DC judge (Beryl Howell) in the classified docs case before quietly roving down to Florida to file the charges. Judge Beryl Howell ruled against Trump at every turn! In fact, Judge Howell previously ordered Trump’s lawyer Evan Corcoran to testify before a grand jury in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago. Judge Howell flipped Trump’s own lawyer Eric Corcoran into...

Did you know Judge Boasberg protected Ray Epps? He gave Ray probation while locking everyone else up. That is why it is important for Americans to once and for all know if Ray Epps was a federal asset on Jan 6th. (Hint: he was) It would unravel the entire operation. ... It's pathetic that Republicans have not dragged Boasberg through the impeachment process yet. ... rinos and dems are on the same team ... Raskin, Epps, Norm Eisen and his filmmaker Nick Quested all need to be investigated for J6. ... Don’t forget Jamie Raskin…he and Ray Epps I believe...

A federal judge abused his authority in pursuing contempt proceedings against Trump administration officials for removing alleged Venezuelan gang members from the United States in violation of a court order, a federal appeals court ruled Friday. The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit was split 2-1, with two Trump appointees in the majority and an Obama appointee dissenting. The decision overturns Washington-based Chief Judge James Boasberg's finding of probable cause that officials could be held in criminal contempt.

Rebukes by the Supreme Court and DC appellate court are not stopping Boasberg's quest to punish the Trump administration for alleged contempt. Now he's the target of complaints of misconduct. Jeb Boasberg is not giving up. Undeterred by recent smackdowns by the Supreme Court and the D.C. appellate court, Boasberg, the Obama-appointed chief judge of the D.C. district court, is preparing to mete out some sort of punishment against the Trump administration for allegedly defying one of his court orders back in March. During a hearing last week in the ACLU’s lawsuit related to the Alien Enemies Act, President Trump’s...

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, the Obama appointee who was “randomly” assigned to one major Trump-related case after another, each time ruling against President Donald Trump with no regard for constitutional boundaries ... early efforts to impeach him stalled in Congress... His abuse of power, which other Democrat-appointed judges have mirrored, prompted the Supreme Court to step in and curb the rampant misuse of nationwide injunctions. Now, in a major development, the Department of Justice has filed a formal misconduct complaint against Boasberg, which will finally bring his actions into the legal spotlight. ... The complaint accuses Boasberg of violating...

An anti-Trump judge who has stymied the president’s agenda with nationwide injunctions is now seeing the tables turned thanks to a newly filed complaint by the U.S. Justice Department. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, in the complaint, accuses District Judge James Boasberg of displaying “improper” conduct when he accused President Donald Trump of stoking a “constitutional crisis” by levying personal attacks on judges who imposed nationwide injunctions halting parts of his agenda. Boasberg has been at the center of pausing mass deportation flights. In response, Trump has referred to Boasberg as a “Radical Left Lunatic Judge” and “troublemaker” in various...

The filing marks the second time the DOJ has made a complaint against a federal judge this year. The department also filed a misconduct complaint against U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes in February. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Monday announced that the Justice Department (DOJ) has filed a misconduct complaint against U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg over comments he's made about the Trump administration. The judge has overseen multiple Trump administration cases, including the high-profile deportation flights case, where the Trump administration deported suspected members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang to El Salvador. He also oversaw...

The three biggest stories this week expose judicial hijinks, the willingness of the Wall Street Journal to publish defamatory anti-Trump nonsense in violation of all journalism ethics, and Tulsi Gabbard’s public declassification of material showing how President Obama worked from the moment of Trump’s 2016 election victory on to tar and hamstring him with made-up Russian influence lies. Judicial MalfeasanceAs usual, the most significant coverage of lefty judiciary hijinks is by Margot Cleveland. She uncovered a memo of a judicial conference in which the notorious D.C. judge James Boasberg confirmed to Chief Justice John Roberts the anti-Trump bias of that...

The Trump Administration has been doing its part, but the lower courts remain rabid in their attack on the rule of law.. Federal judge James Boasberg advised Chief Justice John Roberts and some two dozen other judges that his D.C. colleagues were “concern[ed] that the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts leading to a constitutional crisis,” according to a memorandum obtained exclusively by The Federalist. That Judge Boasberg and his fellow D.C. District Court judges would discuss how a named Defendant in numerous pending lawsuits might respond to an adverse ruling is shocking. Equally outrageous is those judges’ clear...

A U.S. appeals court agreed to pause a lower court order requiring the Trump administration to provide due process to hundreds of Venezuelan migrants deported from the U.S. to El Salvador under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act in a near-term victory for the Trump administration. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit granted the Justice Department’s request for an administrative stay, putting on hold a lower court order handed down last week by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg. Last Wednesday, Boasberg ruled that the migrants deported solely on the basis of the Alien Enemies Act immigration...

Activist judges like Judge Boasberg are are issuing blatantly unlawful nationwide injunctions. It’s not judicial review, it’s judicial sabotage.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge ruled on Wednesday that the Trump administration must give more than 100 migrants sent to a notorious prison in El Salvador a chance to challenge their deportations. U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg said that people who were sent to the prison in March under an 18th-century wartime law haven’t been able to formally contest the removals or allegations that they are members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. He ordered the administration to work toward giving them a way to file those challenges. The judge wrote that “significant evidence” has surfaced...

When a judge starts out his opinion with Kafka, you know you're in for a ride.... This case — J.G.G. v. Trump, involving the removal of Tren de Aragua (TdA) members pursuant to the Alien Enemies Act — has already been a ride-and-a-half. There's a new twist to it, as Judge James Boasberg has now issued a new ruling on the case. And, yes, his opinion begins with Kafka: "One morning, Kafka’s Josef K. awakens to encounter two strange men outside his room." [snip] Subsequently, the plaintiffs filed an amended complaint and refined some of their claims. In Wednesday's order,...

Full story House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Congress could eliminate a federal district court as Republicans continue criticizing judges who have blocked President Trump’s agenda. Johnson said the House will vote next week on a bill to eliminate nationwide injunctions. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Congress could eliminate a federal district court as Republicans continue criticizing judges who have blocked President Donald Trump’s agenda. “We do have authority over the federal courts. Within weeks of the embarrassment of the 2022 red trickle midterm elections, Tillis thought it would be a good idea to get into bed with the Democrats on a hideous amnesty bill that was an homage to Barack. The timing was almost as bad as the bill itself. ... Now Tillis is throwing his second hissy fit of the year — opposing Pete Hegseth's confirmation as Secretary of Defense — and has become a fly in the ointment regarding Ed Martin’s nomination as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. Tillis takes umbrage with Martin's support of J6 defendants, especially...

Julie Kelly 🇺🇸 @julie_kelly2 Just a reminder that @SenThomTillis voted to confirm both Merrick Garland and Lisa Monaco to lead Biden's DOJ. Now he wants to sink the confirmation of acting DC US attorney Ed Martin, who is investigating corruption at that office under Garland/Monaco leadership. 7:56 AM · May 1, 2025

Ed Martin is currently the Acting US Attorney for the District of Columbia. President Trump recently announced he nominated Ed for a permanent position as one of the country’s top cops. Democrats and January 6 prosecutors are now targeting Ed Martin because they fear him and what he may expose. In February, Ed Martin launched an investigation into threats against DOGE workers and revealed Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer as the target. Ed Martin also launched an inquiry into former US Attorney Matthew Graves’ prosecutions of more than 1,500 January 6 protestors. He is specifically probing Graves’ abuse of the 1512(c)(2)...

WASHINGTON — Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said he wouldn't support Ed Martin, President Donald Trump's nominee for U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, likely blocking the path to confirmation for the “Stop the Steal” organizer who had closely aligned himself with Jan. 6 defendants. “I’ve indicated to the White House I wouldn’t support his nomination,” Tillis said Tuesday after meeting with Martin on Monday night. Tillis is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is overseeing Martin's nomination. The panel has 12 Republicans and 10 Democrats, meaning if all other members aside from Tillis voted along party lines,...

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) is flipping off Donald Trump, announcing Tuesday he will oppose the president’s nominee for the crucial U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia just hours after Trump called for Senators to support him. Tillis’s decision, first reported by Breitbart News nine hours before Tillis’s confirmation, could sound the death knell for Trump’s nominee, Ed Martin, who has been serving in the office on an interim basis. Breitbart News reported Monday that Tillis withholding his supporting was the critical impediment to Martin’s nomination being advanced before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Without Tillis’s support, Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IO)...

No one wants to be the person who could nuke a Trump nomination. Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) has earned that (dis)honor, going public with his decision to vote against Ed Martin, President Trump’s nominee for U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. The reason is that Martin voiced support for the January 6 political prisoners (via CNBC): "A key Republican senator on Tuesday said he would not support the controversial nomination of Ed Martin, President Donald Trump’s pick to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, dealing a potentially fatal blow to Martin’s chances of winning Senate confirmation....
