To see the F-14 Tomcat for myself, I ventured out to the Air and Space Museum near Dulles International Airport in the Washington, DC, metro area. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Manassas, Virginia, has every airplane and spacecraft that you can imagine. I was fortunate to interview an F-14 pilot who actually flew the Tomcat that is on display at the Air and Space Museum in Virginia.

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) announced on Sunday that he is going to introduce legislation to hold soft-on-crime judges accountable if they release a violent criminal back to the street and the criminal commits more crimes. The proposed legislation would “hold judges accountable when violent repeat offenders they release commit new crimes,” he said. This comes after 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. murdered 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska last month by stabbing her multiple times in the Charlotte, North Carolina, light rail station. Surveillance video from the incident shows Brown, unprovoked, stabbing Zarutska from the seat behind her on the light rail,...

Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio urged voters to elect Zohran Mamdani to be the City's next mayor, saying "he is the best person to resume the work that I did to try to make NYC the great place it can be. He has the right ideas. The rent freezes, free child care, free city buses, and city-owned grocery stores are the bold moves needed to recover from the dismal years under the incompetent governance of Mayor Eric Adams." "Mamdani's proposal to seize the means of production evokes the brilliance of how Lenin dispossessed the old ruling class...

“Worst” can mean many things: a jet that killed too many of its own pilots, missed its moment technologically, or never matched the mission it was bought to fly. Context matters—some of these aircraft taught valuable lessons or worked better in one air force than another. But taken on the whole—design intent vs. delivered performance, safety, combat effectiveness, and sustainment—these five stand out for the wrong reasons.

On Sunday's CNN State of the Union, Tom Homan gave an absolute master class in dealing with the liberal media on the issue of ICE operations. Host Jake Tapper might have thought he'd put Homan, President Trump's border czar, on the defensive by opening the interview by citing a meme Trump posted, based on the movie Apocalypse Now, in which Trump said, "Chicago is about to find out why it's called the Department of War." Tapper cast that as Trump "escalating his threats against the city of Chicago." It took Homan about five seconds to demolish Tapper's fear-mongering claim. "We're...

As the national debate intensifies over the solvency of Social Security, Truth in Accounting (TIA) is urging policymakers and the public to look deeper: beyond “trust fund” projections and into the silent erosion of benefits through inflation. TIA board member Chuck Chokel has compiled a sobering analysis of the dollar’s decline over three overlapping 50-year periods. His findings illustrate that even if Social Security checks keep coming, their purchasing power has steadily—and dramatically—shrunk: 1925–1975: $100 in 1925 had the purchasing power of $33.21 in 1975, representing a 67% decrease in purchasing power. 1950–2000: $100 in 1950 was worth just $13.92...

Director of the National Institutes of Health Jay Bhattacharya yesterday claimed that the First Amendment is a “dead letter”. Speaking at the National Conservatism Conference in Washington DC, the former Stanford professor warned that America’s constitutional protections for free expression dissolved during the Covid pandemic and remain unenforceable even today. “The First Amendment still doesn’t apply in practice,” he said. “Free speech rights exist right now only because the administration has chosen to allow them, not because the First Amendment is protecting us.” Bhattacharya, best known for co-authoring the 2020 Great Barrington Declaration, said his own experience during the pandemic...
