TO BRING ONE MORE IRAQI VOICE OF THE SILENT MAJORITY TO THE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD IN THE NAME OF GOD THE COMPASSIONATE THE MERCIFUL Hi Friends, God knows that it does not please me leaving you for such a long time. Next to prayer and communion with the Lord, this cybernetic communication with friends far away in distance but near to the heart has become a necessity and highly therapeutic in these most trying times. Thoughts and feelings swarm and trouble the mind and heart and cry out for release and expression, and there are so many things that...

Just wanted to let everyone know that columnist/author Michelle Malkin has a new blog. It's at www.michellemalkin.com.

Though it may not always shine through, I am a Catholic, and a firm believer in God. But I also believe that all religions that teach values such as the golden rule, hold a core of Gods wisdom and act as a way of doing his works. I believe that acts of kindness that seek nothing in return are the face of God. This man who could not concieve of the wonders I've seen, who could not imagine the wealth I have at my disposal and the lifestyle to which I've become accustomed, had by this simple act touched me...

This site will usually be updated on a regular basis until the election and if I will be unable to post for a period I will be sure to make a post announcing that ahead of time. I encourage you to post comments on the stories and e-mail me if you have a story we haven't covered or any feedback on the site. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the blog.

Still trying to get my Feedback form to work (need to work that out with Yahoo!) Or with FrontPage 2002. I've never done this before, but here it is, this longtime FReepers first web site. Out to prove that not all people living in Blue States are Fidel Castro loving, UN subservient, socialists.

The March, in three words: "viciously, mercilessly abusive." The amount of verbal aggression and abuse hurled at me personally, by women and men, of all ages, for carrying the I REGRET MY ABORTION sign, well, I thought that from all the nastiness and name-calling I've withstood recently on ampersand and calpundit's blogs, that I was ready for it. I wasn't. Not even close. I consider myself fairly far along on the "healing" and "public-appearances" scales. We stood, all 500 of us in the Silent No More Awareness groups, in total silence as planned, for over five hours, not replying or...

BAGHDAD — A year ago, few Iraqis had ever had access to a computer, much less used it to communicate to the outside world. Now, Internet cafes seemingly dot every block in Baghdad, and new ones open often. That has led to a new phenomenon here: bloggers. "We suffered for years under Saddam Hussein, not being able to speak out," says Omar Fadhil, 24, a dentist. "Now, you can make your voice heard around the world."

Yeah, I'm getting into the bloq biz too. I have: a web domain name purchased, Microsoft Front Page 2002, and my server is Yahoo, via my ISP SBC/Yahoo! Can't figure out how to publish it. Tips????

We don't get too political on our blog but check out our pictures as we build our house on a little piece of heaven outside of Snoomish Washington. (The only politics will be when we go up against the enviro-whackos who will be complaining that our house is too close to their salmon stream all the while they trespass on my land) we update every few days so check back often, and if you like it leave comments. http://wrightieads.typepad.com

On the thread 'Middle-class Misery Index Hits Record Under George Bush', I left a comment concerning JFK's immigration policies. It was posted; I checked after having posted it. It's no longer there. Not only that, when I tried to repost it, I was forced to go through their verification again, after which I was confronted with a message telling me "You are not allowed to post comments." My comment was not abusive, libelous, etc. in any way, I simply pointed out major problems with JFK's immigration policies. See my comment on this thread for an example (search for 'TheLonewackoBlog'). I...

A pro-US liberal Iraqi blogger, HealingIraq, longs for the days of the dictator. A COUP d'etat is taking place in Iraq. Al-Shula, Al-Hurria, Thawra (Sadr City) and Kadhimiya (all Shi'ite neighbourhoods in Baghdad) have been declared liberated from occupation. Looting has started at some places downtown. News from other cities in the south indicates that [Shi'ite radical Moqtada al-Sadr's] followers have taken over [police] stations and [government] buildings in Kufa, Nasiriyah, Ammara, Kut and Basra. No one knows what is happening in the capital right now. Power has been cut off in my neighbourhood since the afternoon, and I can...

Liberals reveal true colors in blog wars: censorshipLiberals are attacking the anti-terrorist blog www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog: Strike Back: Target #1 - LGFThis is likely in retaliation for criticism of the blogger at www.dailyKOS.com who said of the civilians mutilated in Iraq recently, "screw them:" "That said, I feel nothing over the death of mercenaries. They aren’t in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them." See http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=10442Little green football's webmaster has been threatened, his ISP Hosting Matters is being flooded with...

Since it looks like John Kerry has a lock on the Democrat nomination, being the uber-partisan I am (hell, I'd vote for a retarded mule if it had an 'R' next to its name and said it would cut my taxes) I've set my crack research staff out to find the dirt on the haughty, French-looking Senator who - by the way - served in Vietnam. Here's what they got: FUN FACTS ABOUT JOHN KERRY * In his campaign, Kerry is planning on relying on his wife's ketchup money. That's a lot like blood money, but more tomato based. *...

I need a little help going through this and finding the BS in it. Apparently they are implying W was receiving military discipline at the time he was "missing" from his Alabama unit, receiving his points while in a Military discipline paper unit. I want to believe this is total crap so I need a little help working this out. I don't understand the total workings of the Guard, units, etc. Any help is wanted.

OK, if anybody is going to be able to give me information on this, Freepers will... I would like to start my own blog, largely about politics but also about computers, and general other stuff. I've set one up at moosebytes.blogspot.com, but only after I did it did I realize that blogspot does not do user comments. It's just a one-way thing--I post, people (maybe) read it. I'd like to find somewhere that could handle a small blog allowing people to comment back, sort of like a cut-down version of a "real" blog like LGF. Is there anything like that...

Murshed Zaheed is a 29 year old attorney from Washington, DC. He is one of the main individuals who regulates what visitors to Howard Dean’s web site can or cannot post. This is in addition to the other job titles he allegedly holds within the Dean campaign, according to one Dean staffer we spoke with. Through his conduct he has demonstrated that the Dean campaign feels they should decide what content may or may not appear on their web site in areas "supposedly" open for public posting and review. They hide behind a broad terms of service disclaimer that basically...

A RIGHT TO KNOW As a lifelong consumer of the written word displayed on paper, the prospect of talking to readers by way of a "blog" is a little unnerving. I've decided to tip toe into these electronic waters because I recognize that to ignore change is to be consumed by it. At The Plain Dealer we communicate with our readers a number of ways, the pages of the paper being the most obvious. But the "how to reach us" box on 2A lists e-mail addresses and phone numbers for senior editors and similar information appears at the bottom of...
