Though it may not always shine through, I am a Catholic, and a firm believer in God. But I also believe that all religions that teach values such as the golden rule, hold a core of Gods wisdom and act as a way of doing his works. I believe that acts of kindness that seek nothing in return are the face of God. This man who could not concieve of the wonders I've seen, who could not imagine the wealth I have at my disposal and the lifestyle to which I've become accustomed, had by this simple act touched me deeply. He gave me faith in the people of Iraq. Let me know that what we have done here is appreciated, and that these people and myself are not so far apart.
