500 Women Stand Silently and Are Abused by Baby-Killer Marchers; DC Police Not Up to Task

The March, in three words: "viciously, mercilessly abusive." The amount of verbal aggression and abuse hurled at me personally, by women and men, of all ages, for carrying the I REGRET MY ABORTION sign, well, I thought that from all the nastiness and name-calling I've withstood recently on ampersand and calpundit's blogs, that I was ready for it.
I wasn't. Not even close. I consider myself fairly far along on the "healing" and "public-appearances" scales. We stood, all 500 of us in the Silent No More Awareness groups, in total silence as planned, for over five hours, not replying or saying one word to anything that was said or done to us, and I do mean anything. But nothing prepared me for literally mobs of livid people screaming the most hateful vicious snide things at me personally. We were spit on, and had an egg hurled at us from the marchers. There were two groups of Satanists.
And the signs. Like the guy who held a handmade sign, "BABY KILLER" with an arrow point ed downward at himself. If not for the riot police, we would have been mobbed. There was that much viciousness. People broke through the riot police's invisible line just to come up in my face and hurl insulting words. There were not enough police to form a complete line, so they would run up to me, shout out their abuse, and run back before the policeman or woman got to stop him/her. And I said nothing to anyone, just held my sign.

No decent person could support abortion if they saw the ugliness not only of the procedure, but of its supporters. When I've told people that I was pro-life, I've had them ask me whether I shoot doctors or blow up clinics. I wonder whether any self-described "pro-choicer" would be asked whether she hurls verbal and physical abuse at women who regret their abortions.

You are very brave. Please know that many on this forum support you in your stalwart efforts to tell the truth. Thank you.
If you haven't already, you might want to visit Norma McCorvey ("the" Jane Roe of ROE v WADE) at ROENOMORE.ORG--her story is compellingly heartbreaking.

The adter-action reports from this weekend have just been harrowing.

There were two groups of Satanists.Ah, probably more than that in disguise. And several Stalinists and Marxists too!

Spiritual warfare.

No. I was invited to both rallies, but I thought the Operation Witness one was better organized and would make more of an impact. I don't know why the Silent No More group chose not to participate in that one, but I think one large counter-protest would have been better than the three smaller ones.

I was not at the protest. Someone sent this to me from the afterabortion blog.
I am a convert, however, from a pro-abortion position. Somewhere there is a photo of me holding a sign to make abortion legal. At that point it was too much for a merciful God, who showed me the way. I am forever grateful.
To: firebrand
You go, girlfriend. Thank you for spreading the word that the pro aborts would like us to not know about. The regret afterwards.
