As Landon reported on Tuesday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has introduced legislation known as the Keeping Our COVID-19 Heroes Employed Act to protect essential workers from being fired if they do not wish to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. Sen. Blackburn spoke with Townhall about legislation protecting these workers who "during the pandemic showed up" and "did their job," as well as "figured out how to handle COVID." The senator raised concerns that President Joe Biden and his administration are "just hellbent to get every individual to get the shot, whether they have a medical condition or not." Sen. Blackburn...

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) got into a heated spat with a Chinese media official on Twitter on Thursday. The exchange began after Blackburn publicly thanked President Trump on the social media platform for banning cotton produced by forced Uighur labor. Beijing has faced loud international criticism over its treatment of the ethnic minority. "The U.S. will not support companies that profit off of slave labor," Blackburn wrote. In a subsequent tweet, she added, "China has a 5,000 year history of cheating and stealing. Some things will never change." Chen Weihua, chief Washington correspondent of the state-owned China Daily, snapped back...

The Liberal Democrats suspended Geeta Sidhu-Robb, who was vying to become their candidate in London’s 2021 mayoral elections, the Jewish News of London reported. Over the weekend, a video emerged on Twitter showing her during her 1997 general election campaign for the constituency of Blackburn in northern England. In that campaign, Sidhu-Robb was running as a member of the Conservative Party against Jack Straw, a former Labour lawmaker. “Don’t vote for a Jew. Jack Straw...

'History will not judge kindly those who remained silent or were complicit in the Chinese Communist Party's human rights abuses' Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.) and Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) accused the NBA of being complicit in "Chinese state-sanctioned abuse of children" after the league misled lawmakers on its training academy in Xinjiang, China. "Recent investigations suggest that your organization has been aware of Chinese state-sanctioned abuse of children in its Xinjiang basketball training camps, but did not take action," a Thursday letter from Blackburn and Rubio to NBA commissioner Adam Silver states. "The Chinese Government and Communist Party are...

Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is calling on Rep. Ilhan Omar to resign after the Squad member called for the “dismantling” of the American political and economic system. Omar (D-MN) made the outrageous statements speaking to members of the Minnesota People of Color and Indigenous Caucus on Tuesday. She claimed both the political and economic systems were a form of oppression in America and must be taken apart. “As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” claimed Omar. “We cannot stop at (the)...

Pop star Taylor Swift describes Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) as a “homophobic racist” and “Trump in a whig” in her newly released Netflix documentary Miss Americana. But Blackburn, perhaps anticipating the attacks, took the high ground this week and issued a statement in which she offers to work with the Grammy-winning singer. “Taylor is an exceptionally gifted artist and songwriter, and Nashville is fortunate to be the center of her creative universe,” said Blackburn’s statement. “While there are policy issues on which we may always disagree, we do agree on the need to throw the entertainment community’s collective influence behind...

They just can’t help themselves. The liberal media does it every single day. They are drawn like moths to the flame for the D.C. story of the day. This week they were enamored with the House Democrats’ antics and their latest stunt. Republicans, with President Donald J. Trump’s leadership, remain focused on what the American people elected us to do. But even the media could not ignore the historic nature of the April jobs numbers released by the Labor Department on Friday. The top level numbers are impressive on their own. The United States economy added 263,000 jobs last month,...

Liberal abuse of Facebook to manipulate elections didn’t stop in 2017. A new Washington Post report indicated the same strategy was widespread in 2018 and earned as many as 16 million views in just a two-week span. Liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn and member of the board of directors for Microsoft, was exposed last week for funding a project that created fake Facebook pages to manipulate the 2017 Alabama special election between Roy Moore and Doug Jones. A new Washington Post article has revealed that the group that created the project, News for Democracy, had created 14 fake...

A DAD has died in hospital just weeks after both his ears were chopped off in a horrific machete attack. Tragic Sajed Choudry, 42, was left in a coma after the violent attack on him and his son Ahsan Choudry, 24, in November. Sajed also suffered a collapsed right lung and sustained a bleed on the brain after the assault in Blackburn, Lancs. He underwent a 14-hour operation to have his ears re-attached, using a skin graft from his legs to complete the surgery. Last week daughter Mariya Choudry, 22, said the family are in shock about the attack as...

On Sunday, Marsha Blackburn, who is running for the Senate seat vacated by empty suit Bob Corker against Democrat former governor Phil Bredesen, held a rally with recently discovered conservative rock star Lindsey Graham. This was the day after the massacre of eleven worshipers at a Pittsburgh synagogue and Blackburn asked for a moment of silence. That isn’t what she got. Naturally, as Republicans have been pushing the “Democrats stand for mobs not jobs” theme (FACT CHECK: True since at least 1968), Blackburn cranked out ads showing the flower of the Democrat party in full bloom All was well until...

Protesters interrupted a campaign event hosted by Republican Senate nominee Marsha Blackburn, when they began shouting during a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue. The vile, unhinged left was on full display as several were hauled away by security before Blackburn even took the stage.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Tennessee, condemned a group of protesters forcibly removed from a Sunday rally, tying them to her Democratic opponent, former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen. "This Sunday afternoon, the liberal angry mob made it clear they are active in Tennessee and will stop at nothing to disrupt civil political discourse," Blackburn wrote in a statement. "They resisted law enforcement, and they interrupted a moment of silence. Phil Bredesen is their leader, and their behavior is despicable."

Nearly 10,000 people showed up to the polls each day on the first and second days of early voting. The first day alone was one of the best in at least 10 years according to the election commission. Even though it's not a presidential election year, Knox County voters are swarming to the polls early -- possibly breaking a county record in the process. Generally, midterm elections see a lower-than-average voter turnout compared to presidential election years -- but this does not appear to be the case for the 2018 midterms.

Lonely Democrat media (NY TIMES, CNN) still hoping Bredesen can pull it off. In the NY Times poll, it literally says "It’s just one poll, though." Where was that attitude when they were predicting Trump to lose in 2016? 28,607 CALLS on this poll. 593 responses. Marsha Blackburn, the Republican candidate, leads our poll.
